"Buff Guy..?"

Vanity Fair to print tell-all interview with Abramoff... Advance copy here

On President Bush aka Muff Guy:

President Bush, who claims not to remember having his picture taken with Abramoff. According to Abramoff, at one time, the president joked with Abramoff about his weight lifting past: “What are you benching, buff guy?”

On former Rove deputy and GOP Head Ken Mehlman aka Fluff Guy:

According to documents obtained by Vanity Fair, Mehlman exchanged e-mail with Abramoff, and did him political favors (such as preventing Clinton administration alumnus Allen Stayman from keeping a State Department job), had Sabbath dinner at Abramoff’s house, and offered to pick up Abramoff’s tab at Signatures, Abramoff’s own restaurant.

On Rep. Tom DeLay (R-TX) aka Tuff Guy soon to be Cuff Guy:

Abramoff has “admired Tom DeLay and his family from the first meeting with him,” he tells Margolick. “We would sit and talk about the Bible. We would sit and talk about opera. We would sit and talk about golf,” Abramoff recalls. “I mean, we talked about philosophy and politics.”

On Newt Gingrich aka Enuff Guy:

Newt Gingrich, whose spokesman Rick Tyler tells Margolick that “Before [Abramoff’s] picture appeared on TV and in the newspapers, Newt wouldn’t have known him if he fell across him. He hadn’t seen him in 10 years.” A rankled Abramoff says “I have more pictures of [Newt] than I have of my wife.”

On Sen. Conrad Burns (R-MT) aka Huff Guy:

Abramoff says: “Every appropriation we wanted [from Burns’s committee] we got. Our staffs were as close as they could be. They practically used Signatures as their cafeteria. I mean, it’s a little difficult for him to run from that record.”

I have read the Vanity Fair article. The Hammer and Bush has some explaining to do to the public on how they both cannot recall their relationship with Abramoff. Abramoff was very candid on his relationship with Reagan, Burns, Bush and DeLay. This article and other scandals that are coming out of DeLay's dealing with play a major role in his reelection and the 2006 elections for the GOP politicians.

Fitz,

I have reread your last posting on the CIA. In today's news, the U.S. Intelligence officals don't plan to give copies of the secret papers in which Libby's lawyers wanted. Not good for Libby. But, in the article that you posted, Libby's lawyers are claiming that they need those papers to show " Libby's job as Vice President Dick Cheney's chief of staff involved national security issues and that he may have forgotten or misremembered details of conversations with reporters." What is bothering is me is that Libby's position at the White House was a former assistant to the President and Chief of Staff to Cheney. And Libby also practice law. He had two positions including practicing law. Libby never mention if he was ever under duress from his job with the President, Libby is only mention his job with Cheney. There no mention if he was under duress from practicing law. In addition, Bush hired two people to replace Libby's two positions: David Addington (Chief of Staff) and John Hannah as National Security Adviser. And it seems to me that Libby was never under duress at all for his two positions and practicing law. After all, Libby was jugging three different careers and being a husband and father. Why would Bush hire two people for those two positions? And what was the Libby's position as assistant to Bush entailed?

p holds you right up there with Batman ;-)

Now...what about the rest of the goons going down...

SBP do you think congress is refusing to do their job because their investigation, if valid, would show they are accomplises?

Anon,

The whole makeup of the Congress waa the key to Bush's reelection. He had to make sure that a major of seats in Congress were GOP so that Bush can push his agenda. Let's not forget that certain Congressman were giving political favors. Now, I am not just saying the GOP but there were probably some Democrats in Congress that were giving favors too. Yes, now that there are so many inveatigations with ties to Bush in connection to certain people in Congress, they are held accountable. Remember, there are certain people in Congress who are connected to the Abramoff and DeLay case. If Ronne Earle and the Florida porsecutors pressed to investigate certain people in Congress, then we are talking a political fallout and scandal to Congress. That is why 2006 elections for certain politicans are important. I think that certain people Congress when with Bush's plan for political gain. But, when they have seen that certain deals and monies that Bush demanded was for Bush's agenda and not theirs, you can see how the GOP and the Democrats are either divided or for certain issues especially when those issues affect their states. A lot of the people in Congress have been in their positions too long and have been too comfortable. And they have treated the U.S. money like monopoly and an open pocketbook. It is up to the citizens in every state to determine if his or her Congress person is rightly serving their state. That is where you will see in November's election.

Yeah Jack was a "buff guy" who really let himself go.
But I never heard about Ken Mehlman. I guess I shouldn't be surprised, because Ken Mehlman is a slimy bastard.

Now Abramoff has some money. The name game is still going and going.
This article isn't good for Newt as he trys to get back some power. Now I know why Bush called Abramoff BUFF. In Bush's speech he said He was married to a man, well which guy in the GOP is the Brokeback to George? He that protest to much, is Bush speaking from the heart or was he still thinking about his guy. This group is scary. Who are these guy really? The secrets and lies and dirt beyond anything I've seen so far.
