We certainly shall see how Gonzales does under oath. Oh how the house of cards are unfolding. Gonzales has to ask himself in turn was this all worth it (meaning lying about the purpose of easedropping on the citizens) for the President?

Good Morning/Afternoon/Evening folks!

Happy Tuesday!

Interesting what is in the news:

1. Semms like people's interest in what Condi is wearing rather than her posiiton. Someone is trying to tell her something:

FOCUS | Dennis Jett: The Clothes Have No Empress
http://www.truthout.org/docs_2006/030706Z.shtml

"No hint of that is found in the reporting on Condoleezza Rice, however. Most of the early stories on her tenure as secretary of state focused on what she was wearing rather than what she was saying. Now they dwell a bit less on fashion but still comment on style instead of substance. One recent Associated Press story used confident, compassionate, sure-footed and self-assured all in the first five sentences. Just parsing fashion statements offers no explanation of why America's image abroad has sunk to new depths."

2. On a sad note: Christopher Reeve's wife Dana died of lung cancer. She was 44 years old. Her and her husband's legacy of the Christopher Reeve Foundation lives on. On a side note: Ms. Reeve has done more for humanity through their foundation in her short span of life than Condi Rice has done in the Bush Administration.

On the last posting by Fitz, a lot of the fellow bloggers were discussing their point of views concerning S.D. banning abortion and the views of women's rights. The Bush Administration not only is chipping away (as mentioned) all rights as U.S. citizens but has taken away Iraq detainees rights as well. With Bush stating in his speeches here and abroad that he wants to spread democracy and freedom, how can he mean that when he is taken away those same freedoms and democracy to the entire human race here and abroad?:

Thousands of Iraq Detainees Denied Basic Rights
http://www.truthout.org/docs_2006/030606A.shtml
"US and UK forces in Iraq have detained thousands of people without charge or trial for long periods and there is growing evidence of Iraqi security forces torturing detainees, Amnesty International said today. In a new report published today, the human rights group criticized the US-led multinational force for interning some 14,000 people."

Here are two quotes that was sent to me by a fellow bloggers that will make you laugh or puzzled about the mangler-in-chief:

"The leaders of Iraq rejected this notion that a suicider and a thug and a terrorist can create civil war." A quote by Bush on Feb. 27, 2006

And the other quote (my favorite!):

"The best way to deal with the deficit is keep taxes low."

And there you have folks! A quote from The Artist formerly known as Barney! Bush is really an embarrassment when he speaks in public!

Senators:

Know this. The American public is well "onto you". We expect you to do your jobs-and when the president is accused of breaking laws with ample evidence of this, we expect you to investigate.

If you fail again in your responsibilities, our next move will be for each state to begin impeachment proceeding against the Senate and the House for malfeasance. Don't think it won't happen, we tire of your silly games.
You have until March 21 to do your duty and uphold your oaths or impeachment papers shall begin...

One more thing for the lame media, who also failed the American people...don't be surprised to get hit with a class action suit by military families and others who had their lives turned upside down by corporate owned, media generated lies. We haven't forgotten what you did for Dubya and your own personal bank accounts. Some of our loved ones paid for your lies with their lives and this is unacceptable.

When the hell will people get fed up with allowing officials to get away with the "I don't remember" bit. It was funny when Reagan did it, but it's overplayed and it suggests that no one's accountable due to the vagaries of human memory. In the old days we used to call that sort of defense "incompetence."

S-Q,

There is nothing that Dubya since he becames President has ever made any sense. I thought ex-Vice President, Dan Quayle, was stupid when he couldn't spell potato and attacked the Tv. show's fictional character, "Murphy Brown." bush is certainly showing his stupidity more than ever.

America's government has been promoted to its highest level of incompentence. Now what?

You know, we were all taking about human rights and Bush is definitely out of touch. Here is the article:

WASHINGTON -

President Bush said Tuesday that democracies only reach their potential when women are allowed to fully participate in society, singling out Iran, North Korea and Myanmar as nations that are suppressing women's basic rights.

"America will help women stand up for their freedom, no matter where they live," Bush said at a White House celebration of Women's History Month and International Women's Day.

And what about the women and human rights here in the United States?
