Justice Is Blind...

and deaf and dumb in this case.

Justice Department to declare warrantless wiretaps legal in 40 page brief...developing

Me thinks these are the same folks who believe torture is legal as well.

Yes, I read the article that the Justice Dept. feels that wiretaping is legal.. The Founding Fathers are really rolling over their graves with disbelief. That sounds ridiculous as thinking that Global Warming means to warm the globe....

I have no problem with wiretapping terrorists. I do have a problem with this administration wiretapping any American. Trust is something that is earned and they definitely haven't earned my trust. They believe that they are doing God's will, unfortunately, they forgot to get God's approval.

The Bush Administration behaves as if they are going to be stopped sooner rather than later and are trying to shove through all the power grabs they can while they can.

There has been a surprisingly small uproar to warrantless wiretapping. Fear has silenced rational thinking. Bush promises to keep terrorists away, and people willingly give up their rights.

Justice is as good as the people that follow it. As our leadership views our constitution and laws it sometimes takes on a different direction then intended. Bush is twisting our law while his attorney is doing the same. I agree that these guys know the end is coming but the sad thing is Americans just set back and watch. Now Bush brings a fake tape of Bin Linden just to put us back in fear. This time the fake tape tells us when, where and how as Connie Rice he didn't tell us that before. I guess Bush is trying to make Bin Liden as stupid as he is and yes we are to believe Porter Gross who is so experienced in his job with the CIA. Oh thats right he say he knew nothing not even how to work a computer but as the other appointees he'd learn on the job. Can we really trust Bush after so many lies?

So how are they going to excuse the domestic spying BEFORE 9/11?

When things get fuzzy, they're just peachy? When it gets fuzzy enough, and has a pit, has impeachment already begun?

Sounds like this Power Corrupts Absolutely is the
Black Plague eating at the very soul of the Constituion and the Bill of Rights.

Yes, it is Gonzales, as wasn't he one of the originals who said
'Let's do it, its legal, King George' .?

The scary thing is, whats next? I'm sure they've got plenty of
dark brain power considering just that.

The Chicago work and the upcoming Libby appearance are taking up the Special Prosecutor's time these days, but at least we know there has been no change in Rove's status.

Mr. Fitzgerald:

What's the scoop on Rove? Please indict him and get him out of the White House. Our country is going to hell with him pulling Bush's strings.

Anon and 6 miles:

The more that Fitz is secretive and remain out of the public eye, the more scared and frustrated Rove gets. Rove is now showing how indispensible that he can be to the Adminstration. He is not the all and powerful Oz that he claims to be. We need to be patient with Fitz. He will get Rove and the rest of the Administration. It is just a matter of time. Remember: Fitz is known for capturing the #2 guy first before getting the #1 guy. Think about it...

Thank you for that info SP Biloxi. I know our Fitz is hard at work, but sometimes it's good to hear it anyway.

A new tape from bin Laden. How convenient. Is he on our payroll?

Considering it's oil money that originally financed him - and for all I know still is - that's not a stretch.

I can see why the Judge Dept. drew up the faux 40 page documents claiming that wiretaping is legal. This move by the Administration is a tactic for Bush's friends to use to get out of jail time. Here is an example. I just read this on the WSJ (Wall Street Journal). I wonder who else is going to use this tactic? Sorry, I cannot send you the article. It is only for WSJ subscribers. Here is an excerpt:

Hey Fitz

Wanna bet that the NSA has bugged your phone and computer? And my guess is that Rove and Co. are behind all this domestic spying.
