Any Recommendations...?

Commitment to Hospitals
Section 135:17-a
135:17-a Competency Hearing; Commitment for Treatment. –

I. If, after hearing, the district court or superior court determines that the defendant is not competent to stand trial, the court shall order treatment for the restoration of competency unless it determines, by clear and convincing evidence, that there is no reasonable likelihood that the defendant can be restored to competency through appropriate treatment within 12 months. If the court finds, by clear and convincing evidence, that the defendant cannot be restored to competency within 12 months, the case against the defendant shall be dismissed without prejudice and the court shall proceed as provided in paragraph V.

II. If the defendant is to undergo treatment to restore competency, he or she may be treated in the state mental health system or at the secure psychiatric unit only under an order for involuntary admission or involuntary emergency admission ordered by the district court or probate court having jurisdiction pursuant to RSA 135-C. In all other cases, the accused shall, if otherwise qualified, be admitted to bail. The court may order bail supervision by the division of field services and impose such conditions, in addition to the appropriate course of treatment to restore competency, as the court deems necessary to ensure the appearance of the defendant for further proceedings in the case, and the safety of the defendant and the community.

The Most Reverend Pat Robertson comes to my mind...

Anytime you mix religion with politics its a problem. This Administration used religion to get into office. Pat Robertson is a sick man but not crazy. He knows what he's saying but he now has that power as it was given to him as he paid for Bush to get in office. Yes an attorney will use a law to keep him out of jail but he has to answer to a Higher Power. His remarks about Sharon, Chavez and other statements are from a man who uses God's name but works for Satan. As does the Bush Administration and look how they are falling like flies. Remember Fitz God can do what man can't and in ways we'll never understand.

Pat Robertson is the trial balloon. He says the outrageous stuff to get it out there and talked about so that when the Administration speaks it seems less offensive by contrast.

It's nothing more than a PR trick.

I would make a few comments, but I don't want to be arrested for trying to annoy anyone anonymously over the internets this year. Maybe next year I'll feel more egregious.

Speaking of Jim Bakker, he has a new show from his home in Branson, Missouri. To bilk the faithful this go around he is selling hand crank flashlights for $25 (about $6 at our local Target) with the following inscriptions:
On one side of the light it says "Revelation Generation" and on the other it says; "Jesus is the light of the World." This description is from his web site. Oh and you're gonna love this part, the NEW Mrs. Bakker hosts "Lori's Corner, A unique perspective from Lori Bakker. Ministry, fashion, and fun." I kid you not. You should see the NEW Jerusalem Bracelet for your buying pleasure! Remember Ray Stevens, "Would Jesus wear a Rolex on his television show?" Maybe not, but how could he resist the NEW Jerusalem Bracelet!

Bill O'Reilley also comes to mind.
He is a right-wing nutcase if there was ever one.
