On 9/11 I was watching C-Span when the Towers were hit. It was a bad day for me, getting over the Tijuana Trots/Montezuma's Revenge. I wasn't all there.
However, I recall hearing on the news (I started channel surfing when C-Span announced the event) that Giuliani came back to NYC, after the towers were hit, from one of NYC's airports. Giuliani had been part of a welcoming party at that airport. They were welcoming the Airbus (joint French/English project, and a competitor to Boeing ) Concorde SST back to USA airspace. The crew and passengers of the SST and Giuliani's party were then going to go to the Towers, to a party at the restaurant at the top, Windows To The World.
The Towers were struck while the SST was in flight mid-Atlantic. And the SST turned back.
Anyone know this story?
I've always wondered if there was any connection between that SST flight and 9/11.
Just wondering out loud, about Giuliani and what he knew on 9/11.

Republicans scrambled to find a candidate for one of the nation's most competitive congressionial districts Thursday as Rep. Deborah Pryce, nearly a casualty of the 2006 Democratic surge, announced that she would not seek a ninth term.
Pryce, once the most powerful Republican woman in Congress, beat Mary Jo Kilroy last year by 1,062 votes out of 220,000 cast. Democrats are backing Kilroy, a Franklin County commissioner, in 2008.
