Abu Gonzales Visits Baghdad...
How Quaint.
Gonzales also argued that dropping Geneva would allow the president to "preserve his flexibility" in the war on terror. His reasoning? That U.S. officials might otherwise be subject to war-crimes prosecutions under the Geneva Conventions. Gonzales said he feared "prosecutors and independent counsels who may in the future decide to pursue unwarranted charges" based on a 1996 U.S. law that bars "war crimes," which were defined to include "any grave breach" of the Geneva Conventions. As to arguments that U.S. soldiers might suffer abuses themselves if Washington did not observe the conventions, Gonzales argued wishfully to Bush that "your policy of providing humane treatment to enemy detainees gives us the credibility to insist on like treatment for our soldiers."
AG Gonzales arrived in Baghdad on Saturday for his third trip to Iraq to meet with department officials who have been there to help fashion the country's legal system.
"I am pleased to see firsthand...the progress that the men and women of the Justice Department have made to rebuild Iraq's legal system and law enforcement infrastructure while affording all Iraqi citizens the full protection and rights of the Second Amendment," Gonzales said in a statement released by the department.
His optimistic assessment came despite the frequent sectarian lawlessness and killings in the country. <more>
FLASHBACK - "In my judgment, this new paradigm renders obsolete Geneva's strict limitations on questioning of enemy prisoners and renders quaint some of its provisions.""I am pleased to see firsthand...the progress that the men and women of the Justice Department have made to rebuild Iraq's legal system and law enforcement infrastructure while affording all Iraqi citizens the full protection and rights of the Second Amendment," Gonzales said in a statement released by the department.

That's what I call towing the line...the only option when all he has is bush BS to back him up.
Will Bush cancel the 2008 election?
In Ohio 2004, the arsenal of dirty tricks exploded. Based in Columbus, we have documented more than a hundred different tactics used to steal the 20 electoral votes that gave Bush a second term. More are still surfacing. As a result of the King-Lincoln-Bronzeville federal lawsuit (in which we are plaintiff and attorney) we have now been informed that 56 of the 88 counties in Ohio violated federal law by destroying election records, thus preventing a definitive historical recount.
As in 2000, a compliant Democrat (John Kerry) allowed the coup to proceed.
For 2008 we expect the list of vote theft maneuvers to escalate yet again. We are already witnessing a coordinated nationwide drive to destroy voter registration organizations and to disenfranchise millions of minority, poor and young voters.

Too bad Gonzales doesn't visit the Abu Ghraib site, perhaps again. Maybe when he goes home to his child, he will see the importance of breaking the cycle and blowback. Violence, lies, manipulation and cover-ups didn't work for the last 30-60 years either. They just come back into power or worse, they pass down the cycle of stinking thinking to their children/grandchildren.
This is why we need Pat Fitz in DC.
President Patrick J. Fitzgerald.
We must be careful who we elect to be our leader, because of the leader's symbolic value.
President Patrick J. Fitzgerald.
It can be done. Hard work, but it can be done. Grassroots organizing, lobbying, and a handfull of etceteras, it can be done.
President Patrick J. Fitzgerald.
The Governors of each State wield the most power both symbolically and practically. They are central to PJF winning.
Then come the ruling oligarchs, who have the money and the power over the Governors.
Finally, comes the electorate. But as the Bush/Gore race showed you, the masses can be overriden.
So while you need the popular vote, you also need the oligarchs and their symbols, the Governors.
It is possible. It is hard work, but it can be done.
President PJF = [ (a) the electorate ] + [ (b) the Governors + (c)the ruling oligarchs ] and [ (d) the media ].
The balance of power in this equation is not on the side of the electorate, as Bush/Gore showed you.
This is the right time. We must strike while the iron is hot. Courage. Bush and his minions wouldn't dare to toy with the '08 elections if PJF was the Candidate. After 2008, we may as well address future presidents as "Emperor."
(It is possible. It's not too late to get Pat Fitz on the ballot. Ballot access will require petitions, but also cooperation from the officials who guard ballot access, and they are beholding to the elected officials already Seated.)
Each factor must be courted in the appropriate manner. Each factor is necessary to achieve "President Patrick J. Fitzgerald."
Each factor has several parts.
(a) the electorate = voters + media + local government.
The State's, County's, Municipality's, elected officials, all maintain voter data-bases AND close ties with the also-rans. By courting local government, you also have courted a loyal/beholding voter.
By courting the (d) media, you get equal opportunity access to all voters. Earned media, not paid media. As much as possible, avoid paid media as they are media whores, just as likely to hurt you as to help you.
BUILD IT AND THEY WILL COME
It takes a while, but eventually if you build a media-machine, the media will come to you. Example: Thank you Markos of Kos, for being there. Don't get hung up on Dem or Rep label for PJF for President.
This is the broad outline.
I have not icluded how to court the Governors or the oligarchs. (Their numbers are small, [ 50 Governors + 1,000 ruling oligarchs (think 20 from each State) + the electorate] = President Patrick J. Fitzgerald in 2008 ). This requires a personal touch, that is not conducive to en masse communications. They are like berries that: ripen at different times and need just-the-right touch at just-the-right time.
This is the broad strategy.
1. Get Patrick Fitzgerald on the ballot in all 50 States.
2. Keep Patrick Fitzgerald on the ballot in all 50 States.
3. Work the formula:
Pres. PJF = a+b+c+d
The tactics are trade secrets.
Do we have the intelligence, the courage and the heart, to put Pat Fitz on the Road To The Whitehouse?
It's PatFitz in 08, or it will be too late!

CA, you're delusional -- fun, but delusional. Not only couldn't PJF win a political election. He doesn't want any part of politics.
He should follow Mueller.
I couldn't agree more.
I can't imagine Fitz on the campaign trail... saying all those things we expect our politicos to say.
Pulling teeth would be far easier...
Who know, maybe he'll find his own princess trophy wife to give him a push.
C.A.,
I see all the present candidates dissapoint you, but perhaps you should look for more accessible replacements.
There's got to be other people out there with qualities similar to PJF, who are willing and able to jump into the political arena.
Perhaps we should make election finance reform a priority. We can't continue selling this country to the highest bidder.
The qualities that we seek in a leader are not found in men who has spent their lives wheeling and dealing at arms lenght increasing their personal fortunes. Perhaps that is why rely so much on those with inherited wealth...who ultimately can't relate to the rest of the country.
We now know that brains is not a job requirement. But in our system, the candidates are controlled by the parties and the parties are controlled by some elements within.

'He doesn't want any part of politics.'
What if politics wants him?
"He should follow Mueller."
If he really dosen't answer the call to politics...

I'm exhausted from all this travel.
" can't imagine Fitz on the campaign trail... saying all those things we expect our politicos to say. "
Why would you want him to lie?
That's the point of his candidacy, he's not going to lie. A breath of fresh air and the best disinfectant ... sunshine/the truth.
How refreshing would that be!

"Who know, maybe he'll find his own princess trophy wife to give him a push."
I don't think the extra energy required to propel him would come from an empty ornament like a trophy wife.
He needs a soul mate, an explosion, like when matter collides with anti-matter. The Platonic model that transcends the merely physical and becomes the divine.

Patrick Joseph Fitzgerald, Jr. will NEVER run for a political position. Never.
Oh my!
NEVER??!! Someone said NEVER??!!
You can't say NEVER in politics.
Patrick Joseph Fitzgerald, Jr. may run for some type of ELECTED office in the future.
My hats off to you, Senator.
You got my vote.
But you can say never with regard to Fitz exactly because he ISN'T in politics and never will be.
Sometimes circular logic defines the ultimate truth.
Now Comey has the ego for it so he may run.

Hello!
Celeste Aida
"Comey has the ego for it.." ROFLMAO
If Comey does, then most likely his dear friend Fitz does, you know, like two wings of a bird...
In any event, each one will be looking for his own interest, and to get where they want to go, they'll be given to play the same mind games, just like everybody else.
Personally, I dont think they would make a difference in my life, or anyone else's. I can drop dead next to them tomorrow, and I'm sure they wouldn't even blink.
Why do we idolized these people?
