Rod Blagoyevich fired the existing CEO of Illinois Student Assistance Commission (ISAC) a fine running state govt agency, to hire Andy Davis, a person who contributed $ 30,000 to his political campaign. This new CEO sold loans and fired employees in key positions so that he can transfer the funds to governors "projects". Also he started hiring big ticket executives even while claiming that agency was in a loss. ISAC is going to face another major lay off beginning of the year with as much as 100 employees. I hope you add this to the investigation as well and nail everyone involved. There were several reports about this in tribune and sun times.

Who will fill Obama's senate seat?
CHICAGO, ILL. -- Now that Barack Obama will be moving to the White House, his seat in the U.S. Senate representing Illinois will have to be filled.
That's one of Obama's first priorities today.
He's meeting with Governor Rod Blagojevich this afternoon in Chicago to discuss it.
Illinois law states that the governor chooses that replacement.
There's already been speculation about his selection...from Congressman Jesse Jackson, Jr. of Chicago's south side who co-chaired Obama's presidential campaign, to recently-retired state senate president Emil Jones, to the governor himself.
It's likely the governor will make his decision quickly so the new senator will get some seniority before newly-elected senators take office in January.
Part of the timing depends on when Obama officially vacates his senate seat.
KHQA's Alexis Hunt is speaking with Illinois Senator John Sullivan today about his thoughts on that replacement process, his time working with Obama in the state senate, and if there's a chance Sullivan might play a role in the Obama administration. The governor will meet Monday and Tuesday Philadelphia with Barack Obama. Their discussion will focus on Illinois’ $2 billion deficit and how the Land of Lincoln will manage its 2009 fiscal year.
In November, Blagojevich announced a plan to manage the state’s deficit. Part of that plan requests more than $1 billion dollars in federal money over the next three years, in addition to short-term borrowing to help pay bills on time. Illinois is currently facing a potential $5 billion backlog of unpaid bills.

CRIMES AGAINST HUMANITY
Dear Governor Rendell, drug dealers and now illegal prostitution on and within the properties of Allegheny Housing Rehabilitation Corporation "Valley Royal Court Apartments" and Westmoreland County Housing Authority "Central Tower Apartments" New Kensington, PA 15068.
Governor the illegal drugs and prostitution has gotton worse, in Arnold and New Kensington, PA., since I ask you all to get security to stop these crimes.
Governor Rendell, I have sent letters to you, Allegheny Housing Rehabilitation Corporation, Westmoreland County Housing Authority, Arnold and New kensington, PA mayors, chiefs of police, council members, valley daily news, PA state attorney Tom Corbett, PA DEA, PA State police, PA senators, PA represenatives, United States President George Bush, United States senators, concerning security to stop these crimes.
Governor Rendell, you all better pray that you do get security to stop these crimes, because someday you all will be arrested and charged with allowing crimes against humanity. I have proff that you all recieved the letter below, telling you about this issue in Arnold and New kensington, PA.

I was amused at your statement about Lincoln rolling in his grave at the blatant corruption that the Illinois governor is alleged to have undertaken. In fact, before the 1920s, many jobs in government, even senate seats, could be bought and sold.

First of all, I am really glad to see a fellow New Yorker doing so well in Chicago. I am originally from Greenpoint, Brooklyn and here in Chicago since 2005.
I am also very glad that you did not let the locals persuade you that the Chicago way of doing politics is the only way and that there is nothing you can do to change it, as the popular belief is. I agree with you however, that prosecuting crooked politicians is only a band-aid, the solution is to change people's mentality so when approached with pay-to-play offer they decline and report it.
Well, this and vigilant government watch-dog groups. I know Chicago is not really great on change so it will take some time, but people of Illinois have to start believing that they deserve an honest and transparent government.
Anyways, good luck and I hope Blago's story makes the city hall a little bit more nervous these days. I wish you even more success stories in 2009!
