It's no secret that I wanted Patrick J. Fitzgerald, Jr., to run for the 2008 Presidency.
Usually men think about this for years, develop a network, clout.
In Illinois, the Candidate's petitions have to be filed by November. We could do this in Illinois, but we don't have the organization to put him on the ballot Nationally.
I naively thought that his 'celebrity' would have been enough to entice him to enter the fray. I think he's a team player, and we don't have a National team for him to play for.
As I said, he's sane, he's at the top of his game, and he loves what he does. He also has a beloved Best Female Friend. There does not seem to be any reason for him to want to seek the Presidency.
It's my understanding that he serves at the pleasure of the President. So when Bush's term is up, so is his...maybe.
If the next President is a Republican [don't laugh, it can happen, how do you think Bush got in TWICE.] it's likely that we may get to have Patrick J. Fitzgerald, Jr. stay in this District.
If the next President is a Democrat, we may still be lucky enough to have him stay here.
How?
It would look really, really bad if the new Democrat President got rid of Patrick J. Fitzgerald, Jr. It would look bad if our two Democrat Senators, Durbin and Obama, wouldn't want to keep him on. [I don't think Obama will make the cut in the primary]. It would look like the Democrats were afraid of Patrick J. Fitzgerald, Jr. and his team.

On September 23, 2001, by Executive Order 13224, I declared a national emergency with respect to persons who commit, threaten to commit, or support terrorism, pursuant to the International Emergency Economic Powers Act (50 U.S.C. 1701-1706). I took this action to deal with the unusual and extraordinary threat to the national security, foreign policy, and economy of the United States constituted by the grave acts of terrorism and threats of terrorism committed by foreign terrorists, including the terrorist attacks in New York, in Pennsylvania, and against the Pentagon committed on September 11, 2001, and the continuing and immediate threat of further attacks against United States nationals or the United States. Because the actions of these persons who commit, threaten to commit, or support terrorism continue to pose an unusual and extraordinary threat to the United States, the national emergency declared on September 23, 2001, and the measures adopted on that date to deal with that emergency, must continue in effect beyond September 23, 2007. Therefore, in accordance with section 202(d) of the National Emergencies Act (50 U.S.C. 1622(d)), I am continuing for 1 year the national emergency with respect to persons who commit, threaten to commit, or support terrorism.
This notice shall be published in the Federal Register and transmitted to the Congress.

Does anyone know the "historical" meaning of "sin" before it was even used by Jesus? It was used as a term in archery when the bow missed the mark. They would call out "sin". Meaning the archer missed the mark. Then another archer would try, if he missed the mark, the crowd would say "sin". Then they would keep trying to hit the mark or in modern terms "goal".
