Mouse House Scores - Pix Fix Trix For Flix...

News Junkie optioned by mega-family values studio...hush hush on the QT.

"Required reading for aspiring journalists." -- Publishers Weekly

"I love this book. When other U.S. reporters were licking Ken Lay¹s loafers, Leopold went for Enron¹s thieving throat. Leopold is...a journalist who insists on real investigative reporting, inside documents, inside sources, hard knife-in-the-gut evidence, detective-style reporting that is just about illegal in the U.S.A. Every journalist in America should read this, then quit or riot." -- Greg Palast, author of The Best Democracy Money Can Buy

"Having told the truth for years as a first-rate reporter, Jason Leopold now comes completely clean about himself and also sheds light on his imperiled profession. A riveting account of just how hard the truth can be." -- Mark Crispin Miller, author of Cruel and Unusual: Bush/Cheney¹s New World

"News Junkie provides the best account so far of how, and why, current American journalism has become so pharisaical, spineless, and detached from the truth." --T.D. Allman, journalist and author of
Rogue State, Unmanifest Destiny, and Finding Florida

"...written with all the energy of a 21st-century "Junkheap" Woodward & Bernstein." -- Dazed & Confused

"...malicious and disgraceful..." -- Mark Corallo, Spokesman for Karl Rove, on Jason Leopold

Congratulations, Jason! It couldn't happen to a nicer, more dedicated or talented "junkyard" reporter than yourself. Your work is a Touchstone for the truth. -- Patrick (the J. stands for "Junkyard") Fitzgerald

Check out this news:

Bush offers American flags to Katrina victims.

The Houston Chronicle’s Julie Mason provides some insight into how the White House advance team prepared for Bush’s visit to the Gulf Coast today:

One thing Bush likes to do in the Gulf Coast is hand out American flags to families rebuilding their houses. Long before he shows up, Bush’s advance team scouts the non-hostile property owners in a neighborhood, and later, the president drops by and gives the family a flag. The White House thinks this makes for good pictures — and maybe it did, a month after the storm. But a year and half later, with the region still a mess and so many people displaced, it seems a little tone-deaf to be handing out flags — politically, it does invite comparisons to what Bush isn’t doing in the region.

***Biloxi banging his head***

Now, the Katrina victims lost their homes and had no government or FEMA assistance yet this nimrod Gerbil President is handing out little flags that are used on birthday cakes with a constipated look on his face to them?

Trailer Home: $10,000

Motor Boat: $1500

Weeks supply of groceries: $100

Having the President of the United States reward you a small American flag almost two years after you lost everything and received little government help: Priceless.

Some things in life Republicans won’t fix, for everything else there’s Haliburton.

That is so pathetic! Who thought of that idea of passing out little flags to Katrina victims? Good grief! Was that Turdblossom's idea?

After all those people have been through and to go there with flags! What a disgrace! Disgusting and Unbelievable!

Why doesn't Bush get a justice system in place for all the people being locked up in NOLA?

"Pam Metzger runs the law clinic that represents O'Neal and has helped free nearly 1,000 other defendants who got lost in the system when the hurricane brought New Orleans to halt.

"Think about trying to call the court and write the court to say, 'When do I see a judge' and there's no answer because no phone picks up," Metzger said. "There were no phones."
