Ted Wells - Literal Cry For Injustice...

by popular demand...only a small sampling...lest I will find myself whizgigging all night long. ;)

All I ask is use your common sense, life experiences, don’t base your verdict on speculation. Common sense will tell you that the Government has not established guilt beyond a reasonable doubt.

This is where I started. I read this already in terms of what evidence has shown again. He gave his best good faith recollection. Any mistakes were innocent mistakes. He had no knowledge that Wilson’s job status was classified. He did not push reporters to write about Valerie Wilson. He did not leak to Robert Novak. Richard Armitage did. He is an innocent person. He had no motive to lie.

Is there another slide?

See, I almost made it. I did make it.

All I can do is trust in you. I told you that when we chose you, we had already accomplished the most important part of the case. We made a decision that you and you alone would be the judges.

For some of you, this is probably one of the most important jobs you’ll ever have sitting in judgment of another human being. It is an enormous responsibility. All I will say to you is follow Judge Walton’s instructions. Trust in the evidence. Trust in the evidence and trust in each other.

Be the protector of the integrity of your deliberation process. If somebody begins to go off track and starts to have a situation where Mr. Libby has to prove his innocence as opposed to the Government has to prove his guilt, help that person. Somebody starts to speculate, help that person. If somebody starts to say, oh, you know, he’s a Republican. He worked for Cheney. You know, let’s do him, you know, help that person.

We started off talking about protecting Karl Rove sacrificing Scooter Libby. That’s written in the Vice President’s own handwriting. I say to you, don’t in this case sacrifice Scooter Libby for how you may feel about the war in Iraq or how you feel about the Bush Administration. Don’t sacrifice Scooter Libby.

Treat him the way he deserves to be treated. He got up every morning and worked 12 hour days to be the National Security Advisor to this country. You look at what he did. You give him a fair shake. You analyze it. You analyze it fairly. And fight any temptation of filtering how you analyze your views, be you a Democrat or whatever party.

This is a man with a wife, with two children and nobody has come in here and said he’s been a bad person, done anything wrong. He is a good person. He has been under my protection for the last month. I give him to you. I ask you at the end of the case, vote not guilty on each and every count and give him back to me. [rub onion in eyes]
Ted, you can have him back! At least until he reports to federal prison :)

And the Oscar goes to TEDDY WELLS for his best performance in the Libby Trial for crying and begging at will. I was rooting for Leo or Will but they just couldn't beat the performance of the year. It was strange that Penelope Cruz didn't mention Scooter but was rooting for Teddy to win. Oh it was also a surprise the Sharon Stone beat Teddy Wells for the Rezzies award. Jeffies could have been nomnated if only he had given this closing naked. Libby forgot about his plan to leak CIAs name but remembered Tom and Penelope yet Penelope didn't remember Scooter, bummer.
Randall and I want a part in the up coming movie called THE LIBBY TRIAL HOPE YOU CAN REMEMBER.

It had to been one of Well's most embarrassing moments.

This has been heating up the net most of the weekend. Wonder if it suppose to be just in time for the jury to come back or what? Rather sad that humanity and the planet depends on rogue and greedy groups of our own and allies.

Fitz Tom Cruise never said a word about his friend Scooter Libby. I guess that visit wasn't rememoralalbe to Tom, only Libby. I hope the jurors are watching the Oscars they will hear some formular names. I wonder if they too believe Teddy was snubbed.
Oh Fitz the phase " keep it on the QT, and hush hush" was plagarized by Libby it was said by Danny Devito in the movie LA Confinential. Now that was one of the questions at the Oscars so that might be talk in the juror room Monday.

Is Wells married? If not, he should give her something to do....

They would make a handsome couple and he might keep that smile on her face.

Was Jeffress looking at Wells with disgust and Wells didn't know what else to do but act like he was crying to the jury? Did Jeffress tell Wells to take Bean-O at lunch time and Wells didn't listen? lol

U.S. Senate,
Committee on Veterans' Affairs,
Washington, DC, December 8, 1994

During the last few years, the public has become aware of several examples where U.S. Government researchers intentionally exposed Americans to potentially dangerous substances without their knowledge or consent. The Senate Committee on Veterans' Affairs, which I have been privileged to chair from 1993-94, has conducted a comprehensive analysis of the extent to which veterans participated in such research while they were serving in the U.S. military. This resulted in two hearings, on May 6, 1994, and August 5, 1994.

No one should complain how the American people feel about or support the troops. Wonder what drugs or poisons are being pushed on our military now? Bush, Clinton, Bush all guilty of using depleted uranium against humanity and destroying the earth.

Jack Nickalson should play Richard Armitage in the Libby movie he looked just like him today at the Oscars. Now the Happy Feet could play Teddy Wells. Leo didn't win I was sad but all the actors were good. I'm love to go to the court room when the jurors come out and present Teddy Wells with his Oscar as they sell them out here. Yes it might not be the one that the actors got but it's good enough for the performance he gave.

Excerpted from the link above:

U.S. Senate,
Committee on Veterans' Affairs,
Washington, DC, December 8, 1994

* For at least 50 years, DOD has intentionally exposed military personnel to potentially dangerous substances, often in secret.

* DOD has repeatedly failed to comply with required ethical standards when using human subjects in military research during war or threat of war.

* Participation in military research is rarely included in military medical records, making it impossible to support a veteran's claim for service-connected disabilities from military research.

This is interesting.

Does anyone on this blog have friends or relatives who might have been affected by these kinds of experiments?

Yes scoooter has a wife, one of the nicer ones I heard. That's too bad she just stuck with a neocon-she can do better next time. Her kids won't have an example of a man willing to sell out his country for his buddies gain...Vanity Fair-From the Wonderful Folks Who Brought You Iraq

"It was the beginning of thought," says Meyrav Wurmser, an Israeli-American policy expert, who co-signed the paper with her husband, David Wurmser, now a top Middle East adviser to Dick Cheney. Other signers included Perle and Douglas Feith, the undersecretary of defense for policy during George W. Bush's first term. "It was the seeds of a new vision."

Netanyahu certainly seemed to think so. Two days after meeting with Perle, the prime minister addressed a joint session of Congress with a speech that borrowed from "A Clean Break." He called for the "democratization" of terrorist states in the Middle East and warned that peaceful means might not be sufficient. War might be unavoidable.

Netanyahu also made one significant addition to "A Clean Break." The paper's authors were concerned primarily with Syria and Saddam Hussein's Iraq, but Netanyahu saw a greater threat elsewhere. "The most dangerous of these regimes is Iran," he said.

Good Morning Fitzie and Justice Bloggers...

I'm ready to go down to the courthouse with my colored Sharpies to lay it out for the jury...obviously there are some unaware ones on the panel.

Heck, they threw off the "Cheney-haters" and the "I don't believe squat of what the Bushies say" potential jurors -- which pretty much leaves a panel leaning the other way or just plain clueless IMHO...

PS
Fitzie, when the verdict comes in can you please disable the word verification option becuase if I can't get it right after a cup of coffee, a glass of wine will surely lock me out from comments altogether! ;)

I just read this article..and at least one Juror read or heard something regarding the Libby case. So, Judge Walton is questioning the Jurors.

FDL is hearing that it might be tainting by media exposure.

Maybe more than one juror is being reported by MSNBC-tv now.

This could result in a mistrial! I hope not. I never undertood why the jurors were not sequestered with all of the political overtones and media involvement in this case in DC.

I wonder if that Woodward asisstant was involved? I thought he was potential trouble...if so he will become the Junkyard Juror...

It does make a person wonder about somethings written here. I would rather be mistaken than be on the receiving end of more lies. There is really no need to make up something if isn't true.

stephanie, my "millitary" family had experiences such as you were questioning. My own experience I will write a short story for you.
Vaccinations

On the third day in bootcamp we were sufficiently bullied and frightend enough to not use any of our own thought processes as we were marched in like prisoners to the medical building for our vaccinations. Some of the female trainees were crying because we were not going to be informed of what they were injecting into us and she was torn to bits by the medical corp for asking. They taunted her for crying as I could sense myself and others began to think "My God what are they injecting in us?"
It was three injections. The only one of questionable safety that had been injected in me was the first developed anthrax vaccine. This we called Bush number 1 anthrax vaccine. Clinton was in during this time and his administration didn't show much care for the rights of millitary people so the human rights violations on base were out of control. My T.I. kept telling us "It will get better when the Republicans get in, it always gets better on the bases when the Republicans are in." I don't know what the context was in his assurances to us. Maybe he knew something that the Clinton administration wasn't stopping. One trainee died that month I was there. The way he died was more than odd. Severe dehydration, but the final judgement was death from drowning in his own fluids. My Uncle almost cried when I got a medical release from that hell. He didn't realize that the integrity of the armed forces had become a nigthmare on training bases since he and his own son went in and had successful careers. Both he and my mother couldn't believe the treatment of female trainees (and male). They were shocked by the hazings I and other females went through by Training Instructors that were purely mysoginist. (I think I spelled that wrong- women haters.)
