SURVIVOR - Washington D.C...

"Mr. Libby, you will learn, went to the vice president of the United States and met with the vice president in private. Mr. Libby said to the vice president, 'I think the White House ... is trying to set me up. People in the White House want me to be a scapegoat,'" said Wells, continuing, "People in the White House are trying to protect a man named Karl Rove."
PANIC AT THE DISCO
"One of the more astonishing revelations during the first day of the trial was the revelation by Wells that as many as six government witnesses, including Ari Fleischer, who at the time of the Plame leak was White House press secretary, received an immunity deal in exchange for testimony." <more>

Have you played Find the Immunized Witness(es)?

In one word for the defense case: Train wreck!

Scapegoat? Try the word: CYA for the Veep.

I wonder how many more witnesses in this trial will use the one-arm man defense like Libby and his 11 lawyers band. Yawn..

Pass the biscuits, please...

In short the 2006 Lawyer of the year Wells will be blown away by the 2005 Lawyer of the year Patrick J. Fitzgerald.

Now Fitz is letting others learn to grow to be great lawyers. I always knew he was a great teacher. Some brilliant lawyers just can't teach but the little angel can. Student and lawyers would be getting the best education in law if they were taught by Fitz. For those who aren't in the legal field set back and watch the Master at work. Let's hope Wells learns in this trial to become a better Attorney then before he walked in. Yes Wells is good but he can be better if he watches and learns.

I was just thinking again. I noticed that most of the journalist who were used to spread lies by the White House were from NBC. Now Fox news is the Bush station plus ABC and CBS follow what their told by the White House. Did the Dickster pick NBC to make their rates bad as they have the most viewers. Strange as the Dickster picked Meet the Press and none of the other Sunday morning shows. Plus they picked David Gregory and Mitchell not Katie Couric who does what ever they tell her. Look Bush told ABC to air that fake movie with lies about Clinton so Charlie Gibson has to do what he's told. Just a thought as to why.

The MSM on the tube isn't reporting on this trial to the American people. Now they have began (local too) to change their language on the "surge".

The corporations are owned by who? Who sits at the heads of these corporate news organizations? Does it start with a N or a Z?

All the people who voted for Wells for lawyer of the year should reflect on their own morals and values. Perhaps they could stand to be tweaked or over-hauled completely.

It these lawyers voting are the same character Wells seems to be, what is there to be proud of?

Jackie, good observation on NBC. Everyone already knows that Faux News is a mouthpiece for the government. CBS has lacked credibility for a long time and ABC is sort of in the middle, as in mediocre. Then, that leaves NBC, which some people thought had some sort of credibility. With Brokaw and Russert both having popular books about WW II and family nostalgia, NBC just looks far less slimy than Faux. I think Mitchell is considered respectable, whether or not she's married to Greenspan.

The Today Show people are pretty much worthless as news people. They're about halfway to Regis Philben entertainment level. Katie Couric is at that pathetic level.

Oh yeah, one other tidbit. NBC broadcasts to other countries, more so than CBS and ABC combined.

My memory still works. I still laugh when I think about Russert asking Colin Powell a probing question and one of his staff members attacked the camera--best 'Meet the Press' segment ever.

BTW--The reasons why I think the MSM is not really doing too much with the trial are:

1. Too many people are more interested in who got nominated for what Oscar, Paris, American Idol, Has Been K-Fed, etc., etc., etc.

2. The trial is too complicated. If it cannot be explained in a 30-second sound bite, forget it.

3. People would rather see a group of baby pandas at the zoo in China than real news.

It's all about the ratings. Period.
