Grossman, Grenier & Schmall...

reads like a law firm.

Firedoglake Day Two Summary
In the Libby matter, there is already a growing sense of the level of infighting, nastiness, egotism, and backbiting that is going on within the Bush Administration and between the various segments of our national security apparatus, the highest levels of the executive and among the diplomatic and military wings. To be completely honest, it is a wonder that these people have managed to cobble together anything that functions at all and — frankly — looking at the mess that is Iraq and our burgeoning deficit, an argument can be made that it is not even functioning in any real sense of the word.

This case, and the testimony elicited therein, is lifting up an awful lot of uncomfortable rocks. And what we are all seeing squirming underneath them is not pleasant for anyone in the courtroom. And it is only going to get worse the further down the road of testimony that we go. Tomorrow, we will finish the testimony of Craig Schmall and move on to Cathie Martin, whose testimony will be key in so many ways. Much more to come from the Libby trial. <

Mr. Fitz!

"You don't find swans swimming in sewers." FDL

Boy, they can say that again.

CBS has almost a blackout of the trial going on, even during the night news where they used to report it. Losers.

I am so grateful to Christy and Marcy at Firedoglake for their FANTASTIC reporting of this trial. It's coming live to us everyday without being censored or filtered...Just the truth and that means everything to me!

I can sum of today's trial with sidebars, objections, blame game with the CIA, grilling, and discrediting.

From the defense side, IMHO, they were losing their lack of focus to what their defense strategy was in the beginning. Libby is the one on trial and not Granier, Grossman, and Schmall. I understand to look for a judgement in error from these three witnesses. But, the jury is there to see if these witnesses are credible to Libby's defense and not whose fault it is in the intelligence matter.

What the prosecution needs to do is still continue with focusing on the timeline and areas in the witnesses' testimonies that will work in the prosecution's corner. The defense's strategy today was like they were throwing mud up the wall and seeing if it sticks. But, so far, Granier handled himself very well against Jeffress. At times, Jeffress was grilling Granier very aggressively. If the defense continues on the same path, they will certainly confuse the jurors. This case is about perjury and not about who is the blame regarding intelligence matters and the WMD issue.

Sorry the link is so long, but it's a good timeline of events, sans the Niger meeting.

LOL!

You think I should fire the administrator of this blog, kick him to the curb, sell his globe on ebay, created my own law firm called Young and Good Looking Inc., and call it day?

;-)

Looking forward to the Wilsons' civil lawsuit. I hope the Wilsons squeeze every dime from Libby, Cheney, and Rove. Every penny that the chimperor stole from this country should be taken away from those three.

Squeeze all you can from Scooter and leave him where he needs to get his clothes from the Goodwill and food from meals on wheels!

Kick ass tomorrow Fitz!

Hagel finally did what I (and many others)have been personally nagging him to do for years! I know I plan to ask while visiting them next week just how long they intend to stay on a course the majority of their constiuents do not support.

JB's and others feel free to suggest any questions about the war you'd like politicians to personally answer. I have "veys of making them talk" heehee

Chuckie you might be the first Republican politician I get my picture taken with. May-be.

S-Q This trial will uncover a lot of nasty stuff within this administration.

You said it, the American people are flipping out over this stuff. People at the grocery talking about what shady shysters the bush admin is. The only reason the corporate media is telling the story is they know the bloggers will if they don't-too bad they don't have to buy it from the bloggers.

Fitz those neocons, they look so weak, so helpless now. It's hard to believe they were so scary, but then the penguin and joker always did lose their bad guy aura whenever batman came into the room;-)
