About Me
- Name: Patrick J. Fitzgerald
- Location: U.S. Attorney On Assignment - WDC, Illinois, United States
Think Globally Prosecute Locally - I grew up in Flatbush, kept my nose clean, went to law school. Now that I am in Chicago and D.C. I have found that the rampant graft and corruption to be a travesty - a travesty of a mockery of a sham of a mockery of a travesty of two mockeries of a sham. ---Favorite quote --- "Conditional love is an oxymoron." - Yours truly

Fitz don't worry I'll make a type of me singing and that should solved all your problems with missing Idol. Your right I can't sing a lick but you want to hear music I'm your girl. I really don't remember all the words to any song so I make them up as I go. you put a smile on my face today and so did Wells. I was wondering what Wells would use to twist the truth and try to get one juror to believe the lie. But to attack all the journalist and say the White House back stabbed Libby is like believing in the Easter Bunny.
OH MY GOD, VOMIT!!!!!
I just heard Tucker and Stoddard
Hold on, I've got to put something over my keyboard
Oh my God, did you people hear that?!
Can you even imagine how *humiliated* Tucker will be when the truth all comes out?
Oh, my god .....
Stephanie, Tucker Carlson is a neocon retard. Don't waste your time watching him. Why does he have his own show anyway?
Stephanie I don't have cable what did Tucker say?
Bush is going to tell everyone to slash their use of gasoline by 25% over the next few years. He's not suppose to say much about the war, I guess. Wonder why?
Why did Bush wait six years before addressing the energy crisis/pollution/climate change or global warming whatever it is being called today?
Hmmm..
From FDL and TalkLeft. com, Ari Fleischer is the immunized witness to testify against Irve. And there is talks about him doing damaged control. But, I just can't shake John Hannah out of my head. I wondering how many others on that potential witness list went to Fitz a cut a deal?
This was an article in 2005 in ehich Leopold wrote regarding John Hannah:
A senior aide to Vice President Dick Cheney is cooperating with special prosecutor Patrick Fitzgerald in the outing of CIA agent Valerie Plame Wilson, sources close to the investigation say.
Individuals familiar with Fitzgerald’s case tell RAW STORY that John Hannah, a senior national security aide on loan to Vice President Dick Cheney from the offices of then-Under Secretary of State for Arms Control and International Security Affairs, John Bolton, was named as a target of Fitzgerald’s probe. They say he was told in recent weeks that he could face imminent indictment for his role in leaking Plame-Wilson’
s name to reporters unless he cooperated with the investigation.
Others close to the probe say that if Hannah is cooperating with the special prosecutor then he was likely going to be charged as a co-conspirator and may have cut a deal.
And Hannah is also a member of the WHIG group (White House Iraq Group). And several members of the group have testified before Fitzgerald's grand jury, and are named as potential witnesses for the prosecution and defense team.
I wonder who will be the deep throat of this case?

That shows how much I watch mainstream TV, doesn't it?
And by the way, what is this show that is going to maybe be pre-empted by the Address ...... American Idol I think it's called..... does anybody know what that is?
Hey SPB,
I guessed Ari right! I was so excited about that.
I think we are in for more surprises from both sides...
Stephanie, you're kidding, right?
Is Gonzo scheduled to do a William Hung performance on Idol tonight?
Don't worry Fitzie, it will be all over the "internets" LOL

"I guessed Ari right! I was so excited about that."
Yes, you were right and so werw some of the bloggers. My guess either Ari, Grossman, or John Hannah. But, I chose Hannah. Ari might get have gotten immunity for his testimony in the criminal came. But, he is certainly not ruled out for the civil case. There are 9 John Doe government officials named in the civil suit of the Wilson. Ari may be in the list but definitely John Hannah is on that list.
My question is who will be the deep throat of this case?
"My question is who will be the deep throat of this case?"
I know SPB, I was pondering that myself this afternoon. I'm not sure yet, but I hope to come up with a guess by tomorrow.
Do you have any guesses this afternoon?
Okay, I have read a few posts in which people have unwittingly given some helpful hints to the defense.
(regarding the length of Wells'
opening statement, and Wells referring to Valerie Wilson as "the wife")
As tempting as it is to comment on these things, I think it would be good if we all refrained from inadvertently making comments which might help the defense in some way.
(We Justice Bloggers aren't the only ones in here...)

Well, I ran out of the room when I heard him start to spew, but basically he said (in other words) that it was ridiculous and pointless for Mr. Fitzgerald to be pursuing this.
I'm game for a quiz who will be the Deep Throat.
I'll go with Hannah but my back up persons are Andrew Card/Scotty McClellen. Now before anyone says something Deep Throat this time could be more then one person. Remember this is the Nixon plan up dated by Cheney. He might have learn something from the Watergate crime.

Stephanie, you're kidding, right?
Yeah, I'm kidding.
But actually, I've probably only seen a grand total of three minutes of the show.
Thanks Stephanie for the info
Now that comment makes Tucker look and sound stupid. The NBC Executives should know that they have an idiot representing them. But I do think they know he's doing his best to side track his few viewers as if this case will go away. Wells did a great job at letting the Public know Libby is shall we say slow and stupid. I wonder how they will explain all the awards the White House has given Libby for the great job he's done. Then it's the speech he wrote for Powell as the world leaders listen. One could only wonder what the world leaders think of the White House appointees intelligence.
Jackie,
I'm up for the Deep Throat quiz also...I will have a name or two for you tomorrow...I need to sleep on it tonight.
Are you game SPB, JBs, et al?
This trial is going to be so Interesting and entertaining...

"Snitch" has a derogatory connotation.
I prefer the word "Enlightener."
Or "Hero....."

Ahhhhhhh.......
And that would be just like him, wouldn't it?
Fitz should put of a post and ask who will be the deep throat in the Libby trial. That list of potential witnesses are quite long and one of them will be the one to nail Libby.. I will post a "deep throat" posting on my blog.
Grandmnuk:
I agree with you. I never said that there was only one "deep throat" out of the group. But, Ari will make headlines to the media on this one just like they did with Armitage. I am sure that there are more who came forward to Fitz. But, since Fitz has kept this investigation a secret, it will be more revealed more in the trial.
I notice no one in the media is mentioning John Hannah.
what about this guy? Here's another name to add to the deep throat mix- David Wurmser
John Hannah, a key aide to Vice President Dick Cheney and one of the architects of the Iraq war, was cooperating with Fitzgerald after being told that he was identified by witnesses as a co-conspirator in the leak. Sources said Hannah was not given immunity, but was likely offered a “deal” in exchange for information that could result in indictments of key White House officials.
Now, those close to the investigation say that a second Cheney aide, David Wurmser, has agreed to provide the prosecution with evidence that the leak was a coordinated effort by Cheney’s office to discredit the agent's husband.
I only quoted what the link said, stephanie.
I'm interested in tonight's SOTU address and who all will be applauding , giving standing O's, kissing butt, etc.. Most Americans I would think, have had it with the brown nosing of Congress and will probably watch for it. I guess I will have to stomach Bush's manipulative voice and facial expressions to see.
I see McCain has already started to flip/flop by blaming Cheney and Rumsfeld but not Bush on the Iraq mess.
Kansans found out that the Republicans that pushed through the concealed weapons law not only applies to Kansans, but to other people from out of state packing too. A OK man shot a 17 year old holding up a store over the weekend. The whole south appears to pack hidden heat. It wouldn't bother me so much but the Texan "friend" of the OK shooter was just too proud, if you know what I mean.
There is a great video report from Christy and Marcy on FDL.
Stopping in to say:
You did GREAT today, Fitzie!!! I can't wait for tomorrow, even if the trial coverage is inteferring with my work. LOL
I have to go be with family now. Hope to check back later...
Go Fitzie and Team America!!!
One more comment:
"E. Howard Hunt, who helped organize the Watergate break-in, leading to the greatest scandal in American political history and the downfall of Richard Nixon’s presidency, died Tuesday. He was 88."
How ironic on the first day of the Libby trial...
I just hope there is not an 'Ollie North' type in all this that get immunity and then takes all the blame- that would really freak me out ;/
even if the trial coverage is inteferring with my work. LOL
---------------------
Hi Q:
I know what you mean..I've been busy with work and trying to keep up with the trial..
Priorities..Priorities.. LOLMAO
Yes this case has interferred with everything-the reason behind the case that is, WAR-
so I'm sure not minding this kind of interference:-)
So much going on today not much time to check the blog-but the good thing about it is the msm talks about it so I can get updates running errands. Everybody's talking about it and all behind Fitz of course-what a change in a years time.
Q isn't that something about the man from Watergates passing? Not a good omen for Scooter or the rest of the Bush administration.
Fitz I can't help giving you another kudo, you were just so great in there today
G'Night JB's:-D
