Keep The Dream Alive...

Will you please come to your senses and drop this ridiculous action against Libby? What good can you possibly think will come of this whole thing? You seem like a rational and reasonable individual, but if you continue with this case I can only conclude that your own notoriety and celebrity are more important to you than true justice. Maybe you think pursuing this matter will pay off in big dividends for your career but in my estimation it will only considerably taint what has been a stellar career to this point. Please do the right thing and let this go!

Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., Give Us the Ballot speech, May 17, 1957

"We must meet hate with love. We must meet physical force with soul force. There is still a voice crying out through the vista of time, saying: Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, pray for them that despitefully use you. Then, and only then, can you matriculate into the university of eternal life. That same voice cries out in terms lifted to cosmic proportions: He who lives by the sword will perish by the sword. And history is replete with the bleached bones of nations that failed to follow this command. We must follow nonviolence and love."

Words to live by today...Bring our troops home now!!!

King represents the hope of real justice, which is what we need in this case of Libby and Cheney fixing the facts around their policy of an illegal oil conquest.

Which is a war crime.

Plame was an uncover CIA agent.
Wilson exposed the fact that the mushroom clouds claim was false.

Niger is suing the USA over this bogus uranium claim. One assumes they believe they bave a chance of winning

King was a persecuted man. COINTELPRO, which is still in operation in Corrupticut, was up his butt, trying to ruin him, in the same way BushCo ruins whistleblowers.

So, I don't know who tim paulhus is besides a true traitor to the concept of America.

As is Cheney.

Tim Paulhus if we allow Libby to get away with his crime then let all the convicted GOP criminals go free. Change the Constitution to only criminals that are not friends of the White House to go to jail for crimes committed.

What good can you possibly think will come of this whole thing?

Well Foley isn't able to abuse our kids while holding an elected position. DeLay is running the crime wave. Abramoff isn't running the money for favors game. Enron isn't taking more Americans life savings. If you want Libby out release the other criminals too.

Now to Dr. King. We have seen that Dr. Kings dream is a long way from being fulfilled. Katrina comes to mind. Racism by the GOP/White House. Oh and former Senator Allen, Rommey and Tony Snow comments bring back the old KKK days. Let's not forget the Republican supported racist ads against Harold Ford Jr. So mush of our past has come back because of the current Government leadership.
But there was light and hope. Yes as we saw the pain everyday Americans reached out to help even as the White House sit back and watched. Other countries reached out to help. Americans gave new leadership to our government no more rubber stamp crime wave. And we have seen a young Senator who is a mixture of all Americans, yes Obama is that man. His mother is white/ his father is black. That covers our pass rolled into one. We she woman breaking the ceiling in once men only positions. As for me my daughter is clue less to what race means it's nice to see the young people will change where us baby boomer tried and failed. We learned alot about our own country with President Jefferson's Koran and John Q Adam's bible given to him by a slave Cinque. We have a long way to go on the road to fulfill the dream of equality but we will get there. I am specially best to have found a new friend (Pat Fitzgerald )someone like a son to me that I can get on his nerves like I do my own children. Yes life let's you meet lovely people like the people on this blog site too.

Playing with prosecutors

From NY Times.

The Bush administration has appointed an extreme political partisan as the new United States attorney for Arkansas.

Normally, the Senate would have vetted him, and quite possibly blocked his appointment. But the White House took advantage of a little-noticed provision of the Patriot Act, which allows it to do an end run around the Senate.

United States attorneys are so powerful that their impartiality must be beyond question.

Thank you for posting this, Anonymous.

I wonder who would be able to do something about this?

In any case, it's a good thing to circulate this information, and let everyone know that they've done this.

Libby is an American citizen. He is bound by the laws of this land the same as any other citizen. We will never gain an honest system of justice until we start treating all people equally under the law.

The British Broadcasting Corporation unearthed e-mail messages Griffin sent from the RNC in 2004 containing spreadsheet information on thousands of Florida voters. The spreadsheets were titled “caging,” which, according to the BBC, alludes to a voter suppression tactic.

Teague says that episode, and Griffin’s other political work, explains why Griffin won’t submit to the traditional confirmation process.

“Bud had to go through the process,” Teague said. “What makes this guy so special? What are they trying to hide? Why not go under oath and allow the people of Eastern Arkansas to ask questions about his qualifications for the job? His primary professional occupation has been political research and political campaigns.”

Good Morning/Afternoon Everyone! :)

Happy Monday and MLK Day!

Racism is an ugly word and I've never understood it. Why? Can anyone tell me why we have racism in America today?

My children have many friends of many colors...and they see them all of them as equal..and so do I. Each time I see one of my children laughing with those friends and enjoying one another as a human being..I feel a sense of pride! :)

Equal is a wonderful word and we need to use it more often... :)

Have a great day to my equal friends on this blog! :D

Racism was created by the rich, for the poor and middle class. It is fed by ignorance, hatred and biased thought processes as well as the economic deprivation and inequity among the people. If we, the people are divided, we cannot unite for the common good and the will of the people cannot be done.We are powerless to stand as a few individuals alone against a powerful, rich elite. In order to prevail against this elite, the people as a whole must unite and work toward the same goal. The rich
elite know this. They have been using this tactic since the white men first came here. That is why they
took over the media and finally the country itself. Look at our president. The Great Divider. He has fueled worldwide racism. This country will never be a true democracy until racism is shown for what it truly is.

It's why MLK and so many 'not-so-famous' others were "taken out," probably even my Dad, his Best Friend, and two favorite Uncles, all USN; all young, and all dead by the latter 1970's.

Isn't it amazing how the TRUTH has been questioned all of these years? And so many still doubt the "truth" given regarding the assassinations?

And how the courts have continuously blocked and postponed it? And how statutes of limitations and laws were written conceal it? How "hearsay" rules prevent it? And how honest and innocent people can be threatened, intimidated, destroyed, imprisoned, ridiculed, deemed delusional, and sued for telling or knowing it?

HAPPY MLK DAY EVERYBODY!!

The troops realise the American public is with them and not against them, you idiot.

They are about 50/50 on the reasons for going to War.

But, they realise they are there and have to "get the job done"

The feedback from the media coverage, opinion polls and blogs such as this is disheartening to them.

You and your ilk are making matters worse for the troops and feeding the terrorists. You are giving the Bin Laden's of the world exactly what they want.

Maybe a few of you brainstorms here should get of your ass and volunteer your services. Then you may understand exactly what he means.

Here is a very overlooked story that demonstrates the criminal incompetence of the Bush-Cheney Administration. Millions of US tax dollars are flowing to an international arms trafficker who used to sell weapons to the Taliban. Of course, the money goes from one corrupt firm, Dick Cheney's Halliburton to another.

"We have a saying in the Marine Corps: 'If you want it bad, you get it bad,' " said former Marine Lt. Gen. Jeffrey Oster, who was among the first to raise an alarm about the Bout-linked firms last May, when he worked as the CPA's deputy administrator and chief operating officer.

Anyone think Bout gave a shit who he supplied with weapons? Maybe we should ask Ms. Rice?

Hello everyone:

"Nothing in this world is more dangerous than sincere ignorance and conscientious stupidity."---Martin Luther King Jr., "Strength to Love," 1963

I went to a MLK event today and we celebrated a man whi had a definite major purpose, stood for something, and believed in equality. It was a very large crowd and very diverse. The quote from King really demostrated the Gerbi's demeanor on 60 minutes last night. I am a firm believer that the children today are the visionaries in this country. And King was not only a minister but a visionary. " I have a Dream speech" by King was not "I have a Strategic Plan." Everyone of us are visionary if we choose to be. King taught me that as he influenced others in the 21th century and he was empowered from those who were ahead of King.

intelwhispers/intelmain.php

January 15, 2007 -- British Home Secretary John Reid, a leading neo-con inside the Tony Blair government, is claiming that the failure to enter the arrests abroad of 27,500 Britons in the Police National Computer (PNC) was a serious mistake and he has vowed a review. However, our sources claim the failure to record the arrests of British citizens convicted of serious crimes abroad is more than just an error and a conscious effort by the Blair government to cover-up the activities of British sex offenders, including pedophiles, in places like Southeast Asia, Central America, and Eastern Europe. Some of those convicted have high-level political ties. Reid has claimed that no serious offenders were cleared for sensitive jobs.

A few of the convicted British citizens, who had criminal records abroad for offenses like child rape, were permitted to be cleared for jobs in Britain where they could work with children. Our British sources claim that the Blair government is rife with pedophiles and other sex offenders, mirroring the Republican Party's religious right in the United States.

Parents, grandparents and decent people around the world need to demand enough of these pedophiles that hide in governments. Elite deviants are no better than the school yard lurker preying on your children. They are worse!!
