Just Like A Good Neighbor...
Memo to Tim: Dick Cheney controls you.
This delicious morsel about the "Meet the Press" host and the vice president was part of the extensive dish Cathie Martin served up yesterday when the former Cheney communications director took the stand in the perjury trial of former Cheney chief of staff I. Lewis "Scooter" Libby.
Flashed on the courtroom computer screens were her notes from 2004 about how Cheney could respond to allegations that the Bush administration had played fast and loose with evidence of Iraq's nuclear ambitions. Option 1: "MTP-VP," she wrote, then listed the pros and cons of a vice presidential appearance on the Sunday show. Under "pro," she wrote: "control message."
"I suggested we put the vice president on 'Meet the Press,' which was a tactic we often used," Martin testified. "It's our best format." <more>

We are in no way associated with Timmy Boy...
Fitz!
Will Russert be testifying? Is he immunized? Will he care that he was used by Cheney?
Inquiring minds want to know!
We like mildew better than those two.
A KK for your thoughts, Counselor.
Wonder if Russert will comment on this on MTP on Sunday?
For Jan only:
I responded to your email and I hope my answer helped.
:D
Here you go, Q. A KK I mean ;D.
Thanks, SPB!
-------------
"It's our best format."
Am I hearing this right?
Russert = "Meat Puppet"?...
-------------
Jan, you are making me hungry. :-)
Dear Tim, Cheney has a couple of 'tells' when he lies. I bet Fitz figured them out already.
Thanks Jan! This KK will go great with my sunflower seeds tonight. :)
Hey SPB,
I saw your answer to the quiz. I debated about Feith.
Hey Jan, Join the Quiz by Quzi...
Abu Gonzales has some explaining to do...
Senate Judiciary Chairman Pat Leahy (D-VT) dressed down Attorney General Alberto Gonzales last week over the case of Maher Arar, the Canadian citizen whom the U.S. seized and sent to Syria where he was tortured.
Gonzales stumbled when trying to explain why he couldn't discuss the matter, finally promising Leahy a secret briefing on the matter. Leahy still hasn't gotten the briefing, although he says he expects to have one very soon.

Just squeeze his belly and he says:

I think all that any of us would need to do is play the video of all of Cheney's appearances on Meet The DePressed and we could also find the nervous twitches that accompany his lying...it is so blatant and often!!!
No GEF
Pillsbury Dough Boy has always been Rove for me...
That was a good one, Night Owl!

Here is a blog with picture of Cathie Martin coming or going for trial.
Hi Quzi,
I think of porkrind as a Hawaiian Luau Pig with an Apple in his mouth..
More pork than soft dough!
Hee hee!
BTW, I meant to ask, what does the expression "buy a pig in a poke" mean? It sounds very Irish. You would think Rove would come to mind as a pig in a poke, but it's funny Fitzgerald described Ari Fleisher, who I take to be Jewish, with those words too.
LOL...GEF,
I've been to an Hawaiian Luau, and I have to tell you those pigs look much better than Rove!
I just counted, there are over 123 posts on this blog with the word "Rove" in it. You can do this by using blogger search this blog on top.
naschkatze,
Wow, throw the word, Jewish in and you stir a pot of crap- good one!
buy a pig in a poke = An offering or deal that is foolishly accepted without being examined first
OR = scam
naschkatze,
Pig-in-a-poke refers to a scam originating in the Late Middle Ages, when meat was scarce, but apparently rats and cats were not.
The scheme entailed the sale of a "suckling pig", in a "poke" (bag). The wriggling bag actually contained a cat, not particularly prized as a source of meat, which was then sold unopened to the victim.
LOLMAO*)
Get a grip.
Cheney is not nervous when he is lying. He represents the line from George Costanza in Seinfeld, "It's not a lie if you believe it." That dude could sell ocean water to Hawaii, but he is not perfect. ;-)
I saw some of the other posts. Those idiot jealous reporters have no idea what rumpled looked like anymore, try Peter Falk as Colombo.
Thanks for the explanation. Didn't mean to offend anyone. I am not Roger What's His Name.
Dear OCD,
My three-year-old exhibits many OCD behaviors too. Does it get better with age?
Good Evening All,
S-Q, Q I made it without incident-going to drink a glass of wine with my home girls ;-) Wish you were here!
bbl
"I am not Roger What's His Name."
LOL ;)
Hey T:
Great! Yeah, it would be fun to be there hanging out with all you home girls! Boo-Yah!! hehe
t,
We're not your homey girls?????
My feelings are hurt ;)
Hi Tee,
Save me some, I'm coming right over..
hee hee!
"Thanks for the explanation."
that's good, ;D
Did we lose SPB to his gf?
Hi S-Q!
kittybowtie,
quote:
Right GEF, cats are *not* to be prized as food.
Well that's right. I would never attempt to kill a friend like Ambien did!
hee hee hee!
Hi Q!
Now, GEF, behave yourself or else! :)
Q:
I saw your note on your blog. And i answered you. It was a toss up between Feith and Tenet. But, both of them would ruin the little soldier with their info. And Libby would certainly be hised if either one of them were granted immunity and testify against him. I am going for Feith after reading his involvement in the Iraq propaganda and that both Libby and Feith are international attorneys.
I hope Rover is not immunized because I want to see little porky squeal, squirm and sweat!
SPB,
You may very well be right...Feith was a tossup for me. But it is so hard to keep up with all of the players. I cna't wait to find out though. This is an interesting mystery to follow...
I suggest we lock up Rove in a pen for several years and corn feed him before roasting him with Fuji apples in each opening.
Quzi,
quote:
I hope Rover is not immunized because I want to see little porky squeal, squirm and sweat!
I'll bet porkrind can squeal better than any other sow out there..
Especially when Fitz has got him under oath!
LMAO*)
Q:
Hate to say this. Since Libby defense team decided to throw Rove under the bus, Rove has to testify. I still think that Rove cut some deal with Fitz. And now that Cheney is testifying. Do really think that he will save Rove? No! they hate each other. Rove will cover his own ass and so will Cheney.
s-q,
I can't help it, Tee promised me a trip to DC on Jan 27th..
We gotta Protest tomorrow!
Right Tee ?
Watch for my hat that says GEF RULES!
Hee hee hee!
GEF:
Yeah, I can just see you running around with a bunch of homie girls protesting and wearing your hat that says GEF RULES! Priceless! LOLMAO
SPB said:
"I still think that Rove cut some deal with Fitz." -- the only way I can mentally accept that is if it takes Cheney down to his knees!!!
I can't wait to find out for sure, SPB!!!
SPB:
Why does Rove have to testify now?
GEF check your mail..
Quzi,
Stop giving away the ending of the script will ya ?!
You're ruining this movie for me!
Geez!!
Hahaha!
"You're ruining this movie for me!"
Fitzie is taking Ambien to his knees GEF!!!!!!!!!!! Amen. LOL
Q:
I think you should write the script for the movie! LOLMAO
Rove and Cheney are oil and vinegar. Watch for both of the idiots to throw one another under the bus at the trial. I know people don't want Rove to get immunity. Let's not forget that Rove is in deep doo doo in other crimies such phone jamming, wire tapping, stolen elections twice, etc. So, Tubby is not off the hook yet in other crimes.
S-Q,
I think the all of the JBs need to write this script...
Who would you cast as Fitzie?
SPB:
Also, the Wilson's case too! Those boys are all in a heap of trouble! LOL
Q:
Kevin Costner as Fitz :)
Quzi,
quote:
Fitzie is taking Ambien to his knees GEF!!!!!!!!!!! Amen. LOL
That's not funny, I paid 6.75 and bought Popcorn and a Softdrink...
Now I gotta settle for re-runs of Archie 'the gerbil' Bunker..
"Stepford Laura, geez get me a beer there..."
LOL*)
Sen. Pat Roberts is denying all on the local news about Cheney and Rove keeping the heat on him. Todd Tiaht sp? backed him up. Liars, liars.
Roberts said, "If Senator Rockefeller were conducting this interview right now, I would say what in the world are you talking about? I've know Dick Cheney for 30 years."
Hmmm...almost back to the days of Iran-Contra.
Final Posting. Sorry, I am a bit tired today. Was a long day for me today. This had me dying laughing. This is an excerpt from Jim Lehrer show between Jim, Brooks and Shields:
This is a discussion about UnCheneyed Melody's interview with Blizer:
JIM LEHRER: What do you think of that, David?
DAVID BROOKS: Oh, now we're returning to planet Earth.
DAVID BROOKS: Enormous success? What is he talking about?
You know, I don't know anybody else in the administration that talks that way. Where is he?
DAVID BROOKS: And I do think, seriously, he is a bit isolated now within the administration.
LOL!
And this conversation was about the Gerbil:
JIM LEHRER: Well, in an interview the president did, the president himself did, three or four days before that interview, he said, we have had slow failure here, and conceded all kinds of mistakes, and would have been willing to probably have done even more. And the vice president is saying something just the opposite.
What is going on?
MARK SHIELDS: He has got an enormous emotional, I think, personal and intellectual stake in this war.
But listening to him talk about the tremendous successes reminds me of the story of the fellow -- the husband who comes down at 6:00 in the morning. And his wife says, where have you been all night?
He says, I got home at 1:00 and I didn't want to disturb the household, so I slept outside in the hammock. And she said, I took down the hammock last week.
And he said, you have got a choice. You can believe me or your own eyes.
And that is what it is about Iraq. You can believe the vice president or our own eyes. I mean, people do not see this as a tremendous success. And I really do think it is self-isolating to continue to talk like that.
Good night folks! Biloximan out!
"So, Tubby is not off the hook yet in other crimes."
I know SPB...Rove, Libby and Cheney turning on each other seems to good to be true...I hope so though!
Spill the beans, Fitzie! I've run out of Krispy Kremes to bribe you with!
Good night JBs...I am so tired too!
Teak:
Someone made him an offer he couldn't refuse..
GoodNight Folks,
Hanging up the shoes..
:)
"What's going on? What's happening? What on earth on you talking about? Am I dreaming or sleepwalking? Do I need memory problems pills?"
Liar, Liars reporters and republicans, no one knows the troubles they will know. haha
Goodnight Q!
Goodnight SPB!
Goodnight GEF!
Goodnight John Boy!
:)
Hi, again. Not really surprised about MTP. I don't watch it since W invaded, but have seen clips and references in articles. I got the drift. What is so unreal to me is that so many people were hypnotized by this administration and are just now starting to come out of it. I am thankful for that.
Cheney and Rove are going to be interesting in court, to say the least. They will probably try to wrestle each other under the bus.It will be fun to read the blow by on that one.
Hi, Fitz and Team America. You guys are doing great. Still remembering you all in my intentions.
Good night, all. Have a warn donut before you all turn in :)
Teak, you're so silly ;) Good night, zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
May I ask a question?
What are you all going to do and say if this case is dismissed ?
hullokitty69, Waxman waiting in the wings.
"said...
May I ask a question?

Cry.
I watch Meet the Press on Sunday morning. Nice to know it's the most watched show. Now as for Tim testifying well it only needs to tell the truth and that's it. PBS today said they learned alot about how the White House sets up the reporters and media. They will pay more attention and try not to be caught in the web of the White House's tricks and lies. The White House knows that NBC wouldn't play ball with the lies so they set out to give false information to NBC reporters. I noticed none of the stations that are in the WH back pocket were used.
Cry for the Country. I know you don't understand. But, some people like, I will cry.

Even if the case is dismissed and no further actions or investigations follow, which is highly doubtful, the people were allowed to speak through a great team of Americans led by Mr. Patrick J. Fitzgerald. For once, in six years, the people's interests were defended. That in, and of itself is a great accomplishment under this oppressive dictatorship.
I will at least know that someone fought the good fight for the little guys like me.As for the evil that these men have done, they will answer for their crimes at some point in this life or in the next. However,my duty to speak out remains.I will not be silent. There are too many people dying all over the world as a result of this plot to go to war. It is wrong. It will always be wrong. Nothing anyone says or does will change that. The issue goes way beyond the issues of this trial.
Well said, calamityjane.

If this is how candidates get their money and then are slaves to other countries then don't do what most citizens want...peace and humanity for all, then Hillary can stuff it. It's odd anyway how the Republicans almost want to see Hillary win, why?
Corporations and campaign funds like these should be outlawed. So should laundering money through donations, the American people have awoken to the dirty tricks. The free trips to other countries to gain perks ought to go too for the Congress people.
thanks, Jan :D)
We should work to rewrite the National Security Act of 1947, smash the Patriot Act and expose the crimes and horrors done by government elite that should have been punished.
That is why we are in such a mess, these evil people hide behind that and do not suffer for their crimes, corruption and perverted acts. Restore the Constitution but make it even better.
Good night home girl JB'ers! (You are my home girls too;-)I'll post protest photos tomorrow night
Geffy, if you are in DC maybe you should stay with Fitz (scoot over Fitz, haha)
The come on over...Us girls have got plenty of wine-heck we're good for the rest of the week-so bring more;-).
Now if Fitz won't let you stay with him, my girlfriend might let you if you can be a good boy and can stand the harassment heehee (don't get any ideas we're all good girls;-)
Mr. Fitzgerald should be sleeping, he probably hasn't been able to sleep for a couple of weeks now. All of Team America needs rest and Randell too. Thank you good CIA, FBI and our good, decent DOJ Team America and all the good ones. (The baddies should turn their life around while they can.)
Big, fat raspberry to that little, little man AG.
Be safe,T!

In whose care is Scooter Libby, during the trial?
Hopefully it is someone who cares very much for his well-being.
Anonymous said...
Yeah, Stephanie, someone cares about Scooter. Look at all the millionaires that set up the Scooter Libby Defense Fund.
I meant, I hope no-one harms him (for example, poisons him) before he spills the beans.
That (the bean-spilling) would most likely happen after he is convicted and before he is sentenced.
(Unless he decides it would be in his interest to do it sooner.)

Lara Logan is a great reporter and puts her life on the line in Iraq. She needs help because the jackass of CBS, News chief Sean McManus isn't broadcasting it.
I think the video on CBS site has been taken down now too of ”Battle for Haifa Street”. youtube pieces still work though. The Pentagon and MSM are making sure Americans don't see what is happening.
Our troops, this nation, the Iraqis, good reporters like Lara deserve better. (Scroll down on link for Lara's email).
