S-q,

Check you out, GIRLFRIEND! You crack me up ;D

Looks like there is some kind of revolt against the PJFF :(

I am saddened by this as I know all here really did enjoy the letter Fitz posted on this blog that they wrote to Clarice Feldman

Here it is again- GOOD STUFF!

November 10, 2006

Ms.Clarice Feldman
(address redacted)
Washington, DC

Dear Ms. Feldman,

We're writing to you, women-to-woman, because it's come to our attention that you may need a bit of assistance in the romance department. You see, we've decided that your many denouncing editorials, your complaint to the DOJ professional responsibility board, and your apparent dislike of the man is nothing but a ruse. We believe that you're madly in love with Patrick J. Fitzgerald.

We are the Patrick J. Fitzgerald Fan Club, and we understand your suffering. If he would only just go OUTSIDE once in awhile so we could get more pictures of him from the media photographers posted outside his offices (our stalker proxies), or once again hold a flurry of indictment news conferences? We merely want pictures! We're only guilty of love in the first degree! Indict US if you must!

We digress.

Clarice, come on. You can't resist those piercing blue eyes and that sweet smile, can you? You want to lay your head on one of those broad shoulders while he whispers sweet nothings in your ear, like "statute," "admissible," and "satisfy...the court". (You're feeling a little warm right now, aren't you?) You want to fall asleep on his office couch while he reads a file from a case heard in 1994, right? How about those late nights discovering the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth -- boxers, or briefs?

Be honest. You wouldn't be so obsessed with him if you didn't really, truly, in your heart of hearts, admit that he makes your toes curl, doesn't he? If you want to date him, you'll have to do what every other woman since the dawn of time has had to do to get a man's attention: Play hard-to-get. Flirt with another guy in his office. (We do know that Mr. Shapiro would like some attention, for instance.)

At the same time, filing complaints with the ethics board is not going to get the attention you crave, unless you seek the panting huzzahs of solitary, belly-scratching, stained-underwear-clad FReep males bathed in the glow of their home computers across the heartland...

Girlfriend, we've been there, and we can help. Please point your browser to http://groups.msn.com/PatrickJ-FitzgeraldFanClub. You can finally admit the truth to yourself: You just can't quit PJF, and neither can we.

Fondly,
The members of the PJFFC"

The PJFFC is wringing its collective hands over "publishing" a picture from the Co. Clare fundraiser Fitz attended last October. The picture appeared in the Irish Echo, for godssakes.

They should be questioning their salivating over a public servant, not a picture in the public domain.

AUSA:

Yes, Fitz is a public servant who gives so much of his life to serving this country. Just think of the hours he puts into the CIA Leak case and the other cases he is working on!

I guess it's normal for women to go crazy over a handsome man but let me say this..

Fitz's intellect, honesty, integrity, dedication, and fight for truth and justice...go beyond ordinary! That is what I admire in Patrick J. Fitzgerald. :)

Thank you, Jan! :D

Hey Jan,
I'm a member of the PJFFC. Thanks for sticking up for us. I helped write that Clarice Feldman letter with my pal. I am a single mother of a small child, work like 60 hours/week (though not this minute! Shame on me!), going thru divorce, have just been diagnosed with cancer, and... the fitz crush is a lovely distraction. The crush is ONE WAY and I know it! I live hundreds of miles from the man, and if I really thought I could harm him by gushing, I sure wouldn't do it at all. I positively COUNT on the idea that I don't exist to him, and never will. I write posts over there that are meant to be funny. I am a rather plain and busy and silly woman, with a lot on my shoulders. I don't get out much these days! But I've made some really neat friends with my fellow PJFFC girls. We are a nice bunch, and a nice mix. The site, if you really look at it, is almost a parody of tiger beat, and won't harm that full-grown man. Or his lovely girlfriend. I'm sure she is way more wonderful, beautiful, and accomplished than myself. Patrick J. Fitzgerald deserves it.

I honestly thought the PJFFC was a registered site with small readership, and it ain't so, I guess. Couldja just let me have my fun, though? Pretty please? :-)

PFEB Grunt,

I know what you mean. When I read, hear or see reports on the trial and I hear the word 'defence' my first reaction is to think of Fitz. My knee-jerk reaction is they he is up there 'defending' something I believe in... and that can be attractive in a very admiring way (which can look and feel the same as crush)

ad·mire /ædˈmaɪər/ Pronunciation Key - Show Spelled Pronunciation[ad-mahyuhr] Pronunciation Key - Show IPA Pronunciation verb, -mired, -mir·ing.

quziformerlycc, thanks for getting the link up to the Jason Leopold piece. I have to go back and read it more carefully because I'm not versed in the law, but I have to say Leopold is an excellent writer.

On the lighter side, Jackie is correct. Randall is the real mystery man, a man of few words, and no one knows what color tie he is wearing today or whether he he has recently had his hair cut.

Hi guys
First things first Peaches is find and I email her the up dates of the trial done by SPB it's easier because it's just the bottom line. Peaches is still laughing at Tom Cruise. She called this weekend and put me on the speaker so her follow soldiers could here what I had to say about the trial. One soldier asked if Bush could be put under oath.

Now to today's Ari show. Talk about a man who is in the hot seat. Hearing how Ari is shaking I can only imagine what the little Buckaroo will be like in the hot seat.

Oh as for me having the hots for Randall it's hush hush ok.

I wonder sometimes what it must be like to be Fitzgerald, but I'll never know, nor should I. He's talked about in the press, and on blogs, by people who don't know him yet act like they have special insight. None of us knows anything about him. If people are so desperate that they want to know the color of his tie or the blood circulation pattern of his scalp, those folks need a constructive hobby, stat. And, if anyone thinks such chitchat is harmless, they need to understand our obilgation to spend our time well.

'nuff said.

You may want to rethink some of your posts. I'm a therapist and I know your screen name on both the PJFFC and FDL. You've posted family pictures and divulged quite a bit of personal info. I know your real first name and, from a reference you made in a post, I think I know what the "B" stands for. You'll want to be more careful because there are people who troll these boards -- not for academic reasons but for much darker reasons.

Hi Anonymous,

Thanks for the advice. I think you are right. I have started pulling down posts and eliminated my own family pics a while ago. Again, I thought you had to register to see the site, and started pulling those things down when I saw a link accessible from here. Thank you. That said, I stand by my own posts, silly as they are, because they are truly benign and the intent was friendly and kind. I'm not hiding behind my handle here, I've used it before here, and so didn't want to be guilty of "sock puppetry" and chose to be a consistent voice.

2:19 PM

anonymous, I can't help but wonder if you didn't get the memo about not diagnosing or commenting on those not currently in your practice. It's considered unethical for any therapist to do so.

>If people are so desperate that they want to know the color of his tie or the blood circulation pattern of his scalp, those folks need a constructive hobby, stat.<

I don't think you have the courage to directly address the woman you're criticizing with the above statement. Truly, I don't. Go ahead and post it in the comments on FDL. I look forward to reading the responses.

>And, if anyone thinks such chitchat is harmless, they need to understand our obilgation to spend our time well.<

I might ask what you are doing with your time. You seem to have an overabundance of it, and not much to do if you're analyzing the comments of those you don't have the courage to face directly.

>I'm a therapist and I know your screen name on both the PJFFC and FDL.<

Your faux concern is truly touching, and your comments border on stalking. You admit following pfebgrunt from the fan club site to FDL.

Perhaps you're the one who needs a hobby. You seem to have a bit too much free time for a "therapist", don't you?

Madget's a fool. I'm not the therapist but I recognize illogic when I read it.

I think "Anon" is saying, and s/he is right, that people need to be careful how much information they post on a public site. I know there have been many studies done of the "faux" intimacy such blogs create and they are dangerous. I think pfbe was smart to take his/her advice seriously.

And, if you want the best blog about Fitzgerald's work, it's at the Univ. of Chicago. I don't have the address in my favorites but it's pretty scholarly and no "fashion nonsense."
