Blair hit by Saudi 'bribery' threat

SAUDI ARABIA is threatening to suspend diplomatic ties with Britain unless Downing Street intervenes to block an investigation into a £60m “slush fund” allegedly set up for some members of its royal family.

A senior Saudi diplomat in London has delivered an ultimatum to Tony Blair that unless the inquiry into an allegedly corrupt defence deal is dropped, diplomatic links between Britain and Saudi Arabia will be severed, a defence source has disclosed.

The Saudis, key allies in the Middle East, have also threatened to cut intelligence co-operation with Britain over Al-Qaeda.

WASHINGTON, Nov. 16 — A discussion of recent threats to judges’ safety, at a bar association conference in suburban Dallas last week, became startlingly specific when Sandra Day O’Connor, the retired Supreme Court justice, recounted that each justice had received in the mail “a wonderful package of home-baked cookies” that contained “enough poison to kill the entire membership of the court.”

Bush's Post-Election Session With His Shrink

Deal with being seen as a "loser," for one. That's the story of my life, what everybody thought of me -- the guy who always needed to be helped out and propped up by his parents and their powerful friends. (pause) After the midterm election, I had to debase myself both by calling in some of my father's associates to help me out on Iraq and by "cozying up" to the Democratic leaders. That was a sign of weakness, and if I hate anything, it's being perceived as weak. I'm a go-getter kind of guy, full of confidence, who makes things happen because I can will them to happen -- and then can lead or cajole or frighten others into jumping on board.

Little,lonely master manipulator boy.

Good Morning All,

The vein began to throb in Cheney's head as soon as he said Fitz name hehe

Teak, yes that is certainly news!

Anthony said ...but who really was behind 9/11- You got it-and I wonder if they know how it all ties together...and why didn't Lance look into that.

Impeachment of them both-yes indeed.

Thanks for that, s-q, and it's in the Sunday Times, of all places, so that can't put the lid on this one!

I just wonder what Bush's little bum chum will do. MPs are already being investigated for corruption with regard to the funding of political parties.

Blair has been clinging on to power as if for dear life, despite a promise he made to Gordon Brown (Chancellor of the Exchequor) at the time he stood for election as leader of the Labout Party that he would at some point stand down and hand over power to Gordon, and I can't help but suspect that he has too many skeletons in his closet and that once he no longer has immunity when he leaves office, it will all come out into the open.

I shall greatly enjoy watching Tony twist in the wind during his last few months in Downing Street.

Good Morning/Afternoon/Evening folks!

It's Sunday!

I love Doonesbury cartoons. It is funny but the cartoon makes a political point about two Presidents. Interesting that Doonesbury compares Clinton and the Gerbil. It just remind me of the Wilson's civil case against Rove, Libby, and Cheney: A battle of whether public officials are entitled to immunity in legal actions filed against them. Cheney claims that he has immunity from civil lawsuits. Supreme court rejected Clinton for immunity in the Paula Jones civil lawsuit. And Supreme Court made an example of Clinton and says from their decision on their ruling: "Clinton, as President was subject to the same laws that apply to all citizens." And of course, the Wilsons' lawyers will argue that Rove, Libby, and Cheney's behavior aren't protected from immunity laws because their actions were personal and not "official." And the Supreme court ruling on Clinton doesn't single or rule out a Vice-President or a WH Chief of Staff or a WH political adviser...

ONDON (AFP) - A former Russian spy and fierce critic of Russian President Vladimir Putin was fighting for his life in a London hospital after an apparent bid to kill him by poisoning.

Alexander Litvinenko, a former lieutenant colonel in Russia's Federal Security Service (FSB) -- successor to the Soviet KGB -- fell ill after meeting a contact at a London sushi bar who purportedly had information on the murder of Russian journalist Anna Politkovskaya, said the Mail on Sunday newspaper.

Hope this man pulls through this awful poisoning and can tell what he knows about the attempt on his life and Anna's death.

WTC OWNER ADMITS TO CONTROLLED DEMOLITION OF BUILDING SEVEN:
There is an incredibly self-incriminating video interview with Larry Silverstein wherein he stated that he decided Building Seven would have to be “pulled” to prevent any further loss of life, and so they “pulled it”. Pulling a structure is common industry terminology for a controlled demolition. A copy of this interview video available on request. This “pulled” 47-story building then collapsed exactly as WTC1 and WTC2 had. Mr. Silverstein has since refused to comment on this issue.

TRANSCRIPT:

“I remember getting a call from the, er, fire department commander,
telling me that they were not sure they were gonna be able to contain
the fire, and I said, "We've had such terrible loss of life, maybe the
smartest thing to do is pull it." And then they made that decision to
pull and we watched the building collapse.”

Video Clip: www.tyrannyalert.com/wtc7.htm

The lease of WTC1 and WTC2 was purchased by Larry Silverstein, an extremely savvy NYC real estate mogul, three months before the attack for a cost of 3.2 billion to be paid to the NYC Port Authority over 99 years. Silverstein was the original owner of WTC7, and is the current owner of the soon to be completed Building 7.

www.silversteinproperties.com

LEASING THE WTC COMPLEX SHOULD HAVE BEEN A FINANCIAL DISASTER:

Larry Silverstein leased this property even though it was well known within the industry that the WTC1 and WTC2 had been constructed with asbestos fire retardant coating on the internal steel structure. Asbestos coated all columns up to the 64th floors, only switching to a less effective and non-toxic product in 1971 when New York City banned the use of asbestos as a building material. Asbestos is now known to be an extremely toxic carcinogen, and would eventually have to have been remediated at a cost that would surely have exceeded the buildings resale value. Also, the towers were in need of extensive and costly rehab to the plumbing and electrical infrastructure, and were under-occupied for many years due to uncompetitve and high lease rates. Not a sensible business investment, to say the least.

11: HOWEVER, LEASING THE WTC COMPLEX BECAME A FINANCIAL WINDFALL:
After signing the lease, Larry Silverstein promptly increased the insurance on these buildings to $7.2 billion; double their purchase price prior to the attack. After their destruction, the potential white elephant complex became an instant double-your-money windfall to the tune of a 3.5 billion in pure profit to Silverstein. A wise sage once said, always follow the money trail.

That asbestos removal would have been mighty expense in the towers, anthony. Amazing how the 9/11 rescuers were not told anything about the asbestos.

The Global Dominance Group and 9/11:"
Presentation by Director of Project Censored, Dr. Peter Phillips, at the June 4th, 2006 "9/11 Education and Strategy Conference" in Chicago. This talk is based on recent research conducted at Sonoma State University which identified 240 global dominance advocates who have been the primary promoters and beneficiaries of the so-called war on terror before and after 9/11. Dr. Phillips covers the rise of the neocons and their agenda, who benefited from 9/11 and permanent war, the complicity of the corporate media, and the stolen presidential elections. It's a "who dunnit" analysis and investigation of the greatest crime of the 21st century.

War Criminal Says "no win" in Iraq (No I don't like Kissinger...)

Former U.S. secretary of state Henry Kissinger said on Sunday it was impossible for the United States to achieve military victory in Iraq.

"If you mean by clear military victory an Iraqi government that can be established and whose writ runs across the whole country, that gets the civil war under control and sectarian violence under control ... I don't believe that is possible," he said.

"An international conference should be called that involves neighbours (of Iraq), perhaps the permanent members of the Security Council and countries that have a major interest in the outcome, like India and Pakistan," he told BBC television. Kissinger was President Richard Nixon's national security adviser and then secretary of state during the Vietnam War. U.S. President George W. Bush and Vice President Dick Cheney are said to often consult him as an adviser.

Gonzales was the second administration official in two days to attack a federal judge's ruling last August that the program was unconstitutional. Vice President
Dick Cheney on Friday called the ruling "an indefensible act of judicial overreaching."

Gonzales told about 400 cadets from the Air Force Academy's political science and law classes that some see the program as on the verge of stifling freedom rather that protecting the country.

"But this view is shortsighted," he said. "Its definition of freedom — one utterly divorced from civic responsibility — is superficial and is itself a grave threat to the liberty and security of the American people."

Think these two got off viewing torture pictures of Abu Ghraib? They are the shame of America.

It is our empathy that is under attack, because if it is aroused to a point where Iraqis or Afghans or even our own imperial soldiers become real people (and not a yellow-ribbon magnet), the jig is up. So here is a simple reminder. This war is wanton cruelty in our name; there is no rationalization that can mitigate or excuse it; “we” will not win it and somehow transmogrify a swine into a swan … and it is not over."

Something people don't know, five years before the attack on the towers, a "nobody" like myself had a spiritual intuition about what was coming. Except being more than a nobody he worked security at the towers. He also felt so strongly of something was coming, which it did, he tried to take it to congress. This security person died at the Twin Towers 911 attack. Maybe people should open up their minds and listening in a kindly matter to those of us that act upon spiritual intuition. 9 out of 10 times we hit it right, as is being proven by the new generation of psychic children finding themselves at Centers for their ability instead of being misdiagnosed like I and others were for most of their lives or turning to drugs and alcohol to handle these types of intuition. Mr Fitzgerald, please don't make us vote for a lame duck like (I'm sorry but) Hilary in the next Presidential race. When I complained about the state bids to her in an email they put on her website a stern "Deal with it in your own state". How is she going to resolve anything with that type of mentality?

November 17/18/19, 2006 -- Questions remain about where the right-wing American Spectator obtained a copy of the John Murtha videotape made of the FBI's attempted ABSCAM sting of the congressman conducted some twenty-five years ago. Since Murtha was never indicted for any wrongdoing, such a videotape was at the very least secret grand jury evidence and should have been kept sealed or destroyed after the statute of limitations expired. Since Robert Gates is a good friend of the American Spectator's publisher, the Senate should ask Gates about the origins of the Murtha videotape during his confirmation hearings.

The reappearance of the Murtha tape after the recent election campaign was used by Murtha's opposition to sink his election as House Majority Leader in a swiftboat-type attack campaign.

Good afternoon all
Nice to see Blair tell the truth. Libby allowed himself a sure guilty finding and even helped the Wilson's win their lawsuit. It's all about the dates and when the declassified dates accrued. Now the Wilson's have a crime committed as the release of classified information wasn't declassified until after reporters were given the information. So much for national security.
All the rich backers are folding up shop and throwing Bush/Cheney under the bus. I know some are saying Rove want leave but he will it's not up to Bush.
For all the younger ones on this blog we are seeing a repeat of the Nixon case. Nixon had to resign in order to not testify about the rich backers who were part of the profiteering. As for Cheney he is the beneficiary of the illegal attempt by the GOP to impeach Bill Clinton. Payback is a you know what. Even the Supreme Court can't backtrack on their landmark decision of letting Clinton's civil suit continue. If the GOP could have seen the future but it's to late now.

WASHINGTON (AP) -- Americans would have to sign up for a new military draft after turning 18 if the incoming chairman of the House Ways and Means Committee has his way.

New York Democratic Rep. Charles Rangel said Sunday he sees his idea as a way to deter politicians from launching wars. He believes a draft would bolster U.S. troop levels that are currently insufficient to cover potential future action in Iran, North Korea and Iraq.

"There's no question in my mind that this president and this administration would never have invaded Iraq, especially on the flimsy evidence that was presented to the Congress, if indeed we had a draft, and members of Congress and the administration thought that their kids from their communities would be placed in harm's way," Rangel said.

Polls show most Americans oppose a draft

Blair is even more of a psychopath than Bush.

Blair, Bush, and Kissinger, the Psychopaths Three. The AngloIsraeli Triumvirate.

Some people say Kissinger has long been the president of both Israel and the USA, and I tend to believe it due to the Abramoff-AIPAC-Mossad wiretapping and blackmailing of Congress.

Er, em, the IMs.

Yeah, Rangel has been on his Unicycle about the Draft since 2003..

He thinks that Rich kids should also pony up some blood for their daddy's money making..

I agree with Rangel.

I don't agree there should be a draft but I agree with Rangel that if you're gonna send our kids to money making Wars then it should include everybodies kids.

As far as the Poll it doesn't matter because there are polls now that say that the Majority are against the NSA Wiretaps but those are still here.

Americans are in Majoritty against Bush and he's still there too..

So you can complain in polls all you want but the Govt is doing what the govt wants to do.

On one of those days we hope to assemble 1,000 "V" demonstrators on the street in support of our Right to Petition the Government for Redress of constitutional torts, including our Right to a Response and our Right of Enforcement if Government does not respond to our proper, constitutionally based Petitions for Redress.

Memo to Congressman Rangel: I would like to hope then, that your draft legislation will make it MANDATORY for all serving in congress to have at least one close family member in the military, and that this would be a stipulation before they can even run for office.

Perhaps the US would pick its military fights a little more carefully if it's not always "other peoples' kids" doing the fighting, and getting maimed and killed.

Hi GEF
Now my fellow Americans as the draft is address all who support Bush/Cheney's invasion will push them under the bus. Look Americans will always support something that doesn't effect them. Most of the people I speak to that favor the so called war wont let their children enlist but it's ok for others. Just hang a flag and support the President is the way to go. I told my daughter I should start a business teaching kids how to fill out the forms for DEFEREMENT like Cheney got. The White House/Senate/Congress/House Rep will be fighting not to have their children drafted. What the results of the draft bill as the fall out brings our troops home.

As for McCain well he had his chance at the Presidency and wont get another chance. Plus the torture bill did him in as a vet. How does a vet cave in to a torture bill when it was a UN torture policy that saved his life. I guess McCain had to rubber-stamp Bush's bill and didn't care that our troops will suffer torture by the enemy.

Actions speak louder than words and the most sobering realization happens when one realizes how much they have been conditioned since birth.
When one realizes how we have been influenced to attack, attack, attack after 9/11 and other terrorist events...it is only a matter of time before you realize where you heard it before---"You don't mess with Israel, they will take you out."

"Earlier this year, Representative James Moran, a Democrat, said that ''if it were not for the strong support of the Jewish community for this war with Iraq, we would not be doing this.'' In Britain, Tam Dalyell, a longstanding Labor member of Parliament, expressed a similar view. Tony Blair, he opined, was listening too much to a ''cabal'' of Jews around President Bush that included Deputy Defense Secretary Paul Wolfowitz; an under secretary of defense, Douglas Feith; Richard Perle, a member of the Defense Policy Board; Elliott Abrams, director of Middle East Affairs in the White House; and the former presidential spokesman Ari Fleischer. ''Those people drive this policy,'' Dalyell said."

Iraq has become a vast financial black hole.

Since the war began in 2003, the Americans have spent around $30 billion of their money - and at least $20 billion of Iraq's own money - in rebuilding the country. But where has it all gone?

Mark Gregory has followed the money trail from Iraq to Washington via a kebab shop in Jordan.

He discovers that there have been allegations of fraud, mismanagement and corruption on such a gigantic scale that much of the money is now untraceable. more

And Bush is fixing to ask Congress for even more money then ever.

"The long-term solution is to win the hearts and minds. But we're not going to win the hearts and minds of the people who are already sworn to kill us. They're lost to us. They want to kill us.

What we have to do is win the hearts and minds of people who could be allies and work with us. We would want to win the hearts and minds of people before they'd go over to al Qaeda's ideology. We want to win the hearts and minds of people who may be in the community who may see something that may alert to them and trust us enough to bring the information forward. But it's not easy. It's going to take a long time." PJF

We certainly failed big time in winning hearts and minds before they want to do us harm, Mr. Fitzgerald. It was very good advice, too bad they didn't listen.

Another crook goes down and many more to come. The Draft looks interesting as this might be the way to get all Americans and elected officials to agree on something. Faced with this fighting and dying for a fake war Americans will stand together on this one. If it is blocked it will show who really supports the troops.
I was wondering now that the dates of the declassification info in the Libby case is out. Will anyone be charged with releasing classified national security info to reporters. If not it means the terrorist can get any info they want at any time and national security means nothing.
