Taipei-based Advanced Semiconductor Engineering (ASE) Inc., the world's largest chip packager, yesterday announced that Carlyle Group, a Washington-based buy-out group, will offer to acquire 100 percent of the firm's publicly issued shares for NT$179.1 billion, making it the largest acquisition of a Taiwanese firm by foreign investors ever, according to ASE sources.
Carlyle may offer NT$39 per share, a 9.86 percent premium to ASE's closing price on Thursday, with the entire acquisition deal estimated at NT$179.1 billion or around US$5.46 billion.

My friend GEF I just read that Rummy did give the written order to abuse prisoners. I knew his story was a lie now I hope our elected officials get the kids out of jail for just following the orders of the Defense Secretary because now we know they didn't do it own their own. I'm sick of this mess lying on our soldiers just to cover up the truth. I hope other world leaders look into the action of Rummy during the hole invasion. Can't talk anymore it makes me sick.

Regarding kids in jail for "just following" Rumsfeld's orders: these "kids" had the responsibility of acting appropriately as soldiers in the U.S. military. Corruption from above doesn't mean that subordinates automatically act on it - witness the fact that some soldiers at Abu Graib refused to go along with the torture of prisoners.
If there's one thing paramount in Fitz's example, it's that of personal responsibility, of doing the right thing even if the world is against you.

Anon your are right but the trial didn't take in consideration of the order from the top. I talk to Peaches commander about this during the prisoner abuse he said a soldier has to follow orders but should they not they will most likely go to jail. Of course I told Peach to pick jail in put in that situation. But reading the hearing of the troops jailed and their youth combined with military rule some consideration should be allowed in sentencing. As it wasn't these kids were charged as doing this on their own without knowledge of their superiors. Talk to me Anon if that what our legal system is about where's the fair justice in this.

GEF I didn't really understand that military stuff until I went to Peaches graduation. The head dudes explained it to the parents. I know I just fight all the way but got to understand what the military code means and why. No as usual I don't agree with some of it but I respect the values of our military. Peaches got into so much trouble because I acted like a mother and it went against military code. It's that oath that they take that makes it work. Our kids trust in the honesty of the leaders. Now as for the young people GEF remember these kids are still growing into adulthood. Yes I've been around the block but they haven't yet. As for my view of justice it's the scales that way the amount of guilt. Yes they know right from wrong yes they could have chosen court Marshal but if it was that easy we would have a military. These kids looked up to the Defense Secretary and obeyed orders so guilt is on both parties.
