Well, like father like daughter... Ever heard of the words: Lead by example?? This is certainly the potty mouthed family with potty mouthed family values that the Cheneys have flaunted to the public. Everytime Dick amd Mary open their mouths, they showed their ignorance. And Mary Cheney has really shown her ignorance as a woman, gay activist, and a daughter of the Vice President of the United States!
Well, you know, who the hell wants to know about a queer's life, that's my thing. If you're queer, shut up.
Normal people do not like to have to think about what queers do to each other but that's exactly what they force upon us all when they can't keep their mouths shut about it.
WE DON'T WANT TO KNOW WHAT YOU QUEERS DO IN THE BEDROOM, OKAY?
Why can't we be sensitive to the majority's feelings, too? No one ever asks us. We're made to feel badly for feeling badly about being grossed out.
Especially about QUEER WOMEN? What the hell do they *do* to each other, anyway? None of them has a thingy!

It wasn't a discussion as to personal activities.
That type of spewing distracts from the political implications of this family's behavior.

Well, I think we should have the debate. The Military came up with "don't ask, don't tell," and that was wise. If we ignore it, the Republicans can't use it as another wedge issue. We can all just say, "PLEASE!! We don't want to know."
Note that this story was about the queer daughter of the Vice yelling at Kerry, when 1/2 the Republican base votes Republican just so they won't vote Democrat, because they don't want to be associated with queers and abortionists.
'Another perfect example of Republican hypocrisy on "family values." On the heels of Hookergate and Ragagliagate, no less.

I think that you are misconstruing from the posting and topic. This is about Mary Cheney and her potty mouthed comments to the politcal officals that happens to be Senators. Now, Mary Cheney could have been straight, green, black, or whatever. The fact remains is that Mary Cheney is showing her ignorance and unthical decorum in the public eye and in from her father's Vice Presidency. We live in a country of different values, cultures, opinions, and concerns. Ms. Cheney chose her life that she chooses and so did Mr. Fitzgerald and all of the bloggers on this blog. It is not fair to judge Ms. Cheney of her choice of lifestyle nor it is not fair for all of us to judge one another's lifestyle on this blog. Here is Senator John Kerry's response to Ms. Cheney's unethical decorum remarks about him. Folks, this is simply to promote her new book and her daddy's Vice Presidency that's all. Ms. Cheney mentions John Kerry in her book. This is just poltical smear and tactic by the Cheneys.. As Anon says: keep it real folks.

You're right of course, about the potty mouth and this topic being about what was "said" and not the gay/lesbian issue.
Personally I found Kathleen's comments really offensive. That type of narrow minded attack really has no place in an open society, I'm sorry.
In her own way, Kathleen has shown the rigid, unaccepting, hardass intolerance that just chills me.
Sexual preference is not "picked" or "chosen", even medical science believes at this point that it is a "born with" condition.
If you don't like the gay/lesbian issue, attacking is not the smartest thing in the world to do. I am not gay/lesbian, I am married - have a wonderful husband and children and yes, gay friends. They do not threaten me or my existence - nor do they cause fear in me for exposure to my children. Propagating that type of hatred on this blog just seems way beyond what PJF represents.
My initial response was based upon the fact that Kathleen's response was "off topic". Then I went back, reread and realized the absolute hatred and intolerence reflected in that thought process and frankly, it makes me sick.
I like to think most of us here are better than that.
I'm sorry if you all don't agree, but I think Kathleen's rant distracted from the issue of Mr. PottyMouth and his PottyMouth daughter.

Yesterday, we reported that Brent Wilkes had paid Brant "Nine Fingers" Bassett $5,000 while Bassett was a staffer with the House Intelligence Committee under Porter Goss.
Well, now we know what it was for. Bassett had been Wilkes' tour guide:
The $5,000 Bassett accepted from Wilkes was for helping him with a business trip to a part of Europe where Bassett knew "the lay of the land from before" -- presumably a reference to Bassett's earlier work for the CIA, said the person speaking for Bassett. Bassett "was not an employee of [ADCS]. It was a one-off consulting deal" this person said on Bassett's behalf. Wilkes' Washington attorney, Nancy Luque, said Wilkes has done nothing wrong and that Bassett was hired as a consultant "for his knowledge of the area they were working in and facility with the languages spoken there."
And there is another choice detail. Bassett didn't just work under Goss at the House Intelligence Committee. When Goss rose to CIA director, he tapped Bassett for "a second stint at the agency as a consultant in the directorate of operations." Brent Wilkes did indeed have some friends there."

I know that you and some of the bloggers are offensive to Kathleen's comments and concerns. But, this is Fitzgerald's blog. And he has given all of us a right to our opinion. That is the first amendment! And that is Kathleen's opinion of how she feels whether anyone of us on this blog agree or disagree. And if you feel that you don't agree with Kathleen, myself, or anyone on the blog, you don't have to agree. That is why we are on this blog to share our thoughts and have the freedom to agree or disagree. As Grandmanuk said: "I've come to look at this blog as sort of family with acceptance, tolerance and openness as some of our more redeeming qualities, along with humility, of course. " Keep that in mind.. As far as Kathleen's comments, I am not offended at all. It is Kathleen's feelings and concerns and not mines! I don't have a right to judge what she feels. Here is Senator Edwards's response to Ms. Cheney's comments:
Edwards' spokeswoman responded to RAW STORY, calling the Cheneys "wonderful role models."
"Senator Edwards continues to believe, as he said in the vice presidential debate when the issue was raised, that the Cheneys have been wonderful role models for the millions of parents around the country who love their children unconditionally," Kim Rubey, Edwards' spokeswoman for his One America political action committee said."
And Edwards knows that this a political smear! And I like the way that Edwards didn't come down to Ms. Cheney's level. And now see who looks very ignorant in words...
It's embarrassing to know people like her are gay.
I hope Mary doesn't get mad at her partner or who knows she might shoot her. Just think this is our example of family values. Mary is trying to use gays to vote Republican as things look really bad right now. But this name calling wont help but it does show Americans the way Mary was raised by her parents. Potty mouth is right.

Told everyone who questioned the thermite theory, etc. they were stupid, and was not polite about it at all. It is impossible to disagree or debate with someone who tells everyone who disagrees they are stupid.
Wrote that all social workers and psychologists are worthless.
On National Prayer Day, wrote a prayer to God asking to bring a natural disaster to hurt the people who run this country. If the Secret Service comes knocking at the door, be ready to explain that one. I think Biloxi can explain the whole Gerbil thing as a joke, but what about that prayer that was not funny? Kathleen should thank God she lives in a free country because there are countries out there that hand out jail time for that.
Told Fitz and his staff that catching drug dealers was worthless because drug dealers are not real criminals. Yeah, now that is a really effective way to ask for help for your issue.
Wrote some anti-gay and anti-lesbian stuff that offended many people today.
Tolerance goes both ways. If people here are tolerant of Kathleen, then Kathleen needs to be tolerant of them.
It is a free country and I am free not to read anything Kathleen writes. Kathleen is also free not to read Cheney's daughter's book.
That said, someone or several people keep writing what must be really bad because I see there are comments that got deleted.
When a family member makes others upset, the usual thing to do is apologize.
