Bolten: White House Must Regain Its 'Mojo'
"It's time for the White House to go on offense and ' get our mojo back.' Josh Bolten said Sunday in his first interview since taking over as the president's chief of staff.
Bolten made no promises of pulling up President Bush's all-time low approval ratings, but he said he and Bush have decided they want to be more open with the media and the public.
'We've taken advice from a lot of folks that we ought to put the president out more in ways that the American people can see what he's really like,' Bolten said on "Fox News Sunday."
But he said that does not mean the president's policies are going to get an overhaul. 'I don't think we need to change, but we do need to refresh and re-energize,' Bolten said.
For example, he said the White House is ' thinking actively ' about immigration and putting the president out front on an issue that has split him off from some in his own party. Bolten added that it is vital that the White House communicate effectively about the importance of the fight against terrorism so Americans will support the mission."
I am 100% behind the fight against terrorism - let's go catch Osama Bin-Laden and "re-deploy" the troops in Iraq - then say MISSION ACCOMPLISHED.

I agree with you completely. Osama bin Laden should have been our target since day one. It's hard to understand why he hasn't been. Unfortunately, common sense does not seem to be in this administration's vocabulary (or lack of vocabulary), depending on how you look at it.
Yeah, well, you need to check out your old boss Chertoff a little more closely, since the 1993 WTC bombings was a sting, and there was thermite in the WTC before the planes hit on 9/11. And all those FBI boys were stymied in the process, remember?

Oh, Fitz, I'm sheding a tear from that emotional statement Josh "Iron Bolt" Bolten that we are finally going to see more of the Commander-in-Gerbil more publically... Yeah right!!! Bolten knows he can't help the Gerbil's polls. But, the Gerbil's polls is like a bad sewage problem that needs to be flushed. And notice that Bolten made his statement on Faux news. Fact remains that King Gerbil is still King Gerbil. The Gerbil is not going to listen to the public no more than I will get feed back from the Mona Lisa picture. The Administration is pulling straws to try to gain the public trust and help his GOP buddies in the 2006 election. Since Porkrind Rove' hands is tied up with an upcoming indictment by the GJ, the Gerbil Administration has to try to put a happy face that their Administration is strong when we know that it is weak and people are not buying the beans and bull from the Gerbil anymore. On Lou Dodds show on CNN on Friday, many people emailed Dobbs and expressed that they wanted Bush (Gerbil) removed from office. More and more people have that battle cry that they want the Gerbil removed but the Gerbil and company still have deaf ears!!!

I agree with you that the Gerbil should go after Bin Laden and you know that was my battle cry. But, less be honest and real, Fitz. The Gerbil doesn't show any interest or intention to find Bin Laden ever. So, don't hold your breath! Now, he was willing to get off his rodent ass to sign a Terri Schiavo law in Florida and intervene in the personal lives of Ms. Schaivo's husband and parents in the right for life theme. So, I don't think Bin Laden is on the Gerbil's priority agenda right now. His priority has always been since he stole the election not once but twice: oil and profits!!!

I chuckled at this. But, he is speaking the truth. Folks, there are no weapons in Iran. And for goodness sake, the sitting President Gerbil didn't find WMD in Iraq because there weren't any! Yet, the Gerbil can't find Bin Laden nor have any intentions to find him.
