Self-Serving Quote Of The Week...

from an "investigative journalist" a little long in the tooth in an upcoming Vanity Fair article.
Bob Woodward quips that while insiders argue the fine points of special counsel Patrick J. Fitzpatrick’s probe, those in the rest of the country “think Fitzgerald is the author of ‘The Great Gatsby.’”
Bob, gone is the romance that was so divine.

Woodward is not nearly as good looking as Redford, but they both have the same awful skin! Ack!

Be careful what you say it can come back to bite you in the butt.
Woodward is finished and using you will not help. But Redford in the movies was so so how do it say fine, goodlooking oh well back to business. I guess no one really bothered to know the real Patrick J Fitzgerald only Fitz from a piece of paper. Now I see a man that Americans can look up to with pride and know that we still have the best and honest leaders any country can have. He has the heart of a lion and the kindness of a dove. He will protect us from hard and bring the criminals to justice.

Fitz,

If you ask anyone on the street about the author or the book of "The Great Gatsby," people would have no idea. Now, if you name was F. Scott and not Patrick J. than maybe Woodward would have a point. Many people are not readers today. People today read or see a movie(based on a book) only go by the title and not the author of the book. I think that Wood wars has nothing better else to but to discredit your name. Instead of Woodward giving an opinion about what people think about you, he should be worrying about his loss reputation especially to the Washington Post!

On a side note,

I had read F. Scott Fitzgerald's book "The Great Gatsby" way before I saw the movie with Robert Redford! Great book!

Here is some news that the Supreme Court might be interesting in regarding women's rights:

FOCUS | Bachelet Sworn in as President of Chile

"Former torture victim Michelle Bachelet has been sworn in as Chile's first female president."

All,

More news:

Looks like the Adminstration is trying to use this strategy to dismantle the CIA Leak case:

Report: Web Searches Can ID CIA Employees

CHICAGO - The identities of 2,600

"CIA employees and the locations of two dozen of the agency's covert workplaces in the United States can be found easily through Internet searches, according to an investigation by the Chicago Tribune."

http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20060311/ap_on_go_ca_st_pe/cia_internet_1

Only one problem, Plame was an active covert prior to the leak.

2. More scandals: John Mc Cain!

From Thinkprogress.org:
"He may have violated the campaign finance laws he helped write during a fundraising appearance last year with Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger. All aboard!" March 11, 2006
Good Night and Good Luck, McCain!

3. The butt kisser and baffoon Lieberman strikes again. He praises Rove for his dumping the Dubai deal:

"Lieberman: [The U.A.E.] have been not just allies but extraordinary allies, courageous allies, in the war against Islamist terrorism since 9/11. The port at Dubai, which is run by the same company, has more visits by U.S. Navy ships than any other port in the world, and they do it with a real sense of security."

And Bush knew nothing about it!

Finally: Rummy took the money and left the bulding:

From Thinkprogress.org:

$5 Million.
"Capital gains earned by Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld from selling shares of Gilead Sciences, “the biotechnology firm that discovered and developed Tamiflu, the drug being bought in massive amounts by Governments to treat a possible human pandemic [of bird flu)."

Now Rummy got his 5 million in profit and still panhandling for more billions for propraganda from Congress!

I guess I am not the only person who is irritated by The "buttkisser": formally known as Joe Lieberman. Here is someone to challenge Lieberman:

Lamont to make Senate run official tomorrow

"Greenwich Democrat Ned Lamont will kick off his underdog U.S. Senate campaign against Joseph Lieberman tomorrow in Hartford, despite calls from the state party's chairwoman to unite behind the incumbent."

I cannot stand that DINO either,SPB he's such whimp
Did you see this mess??
Plame's identity, if truly a secret, was thinly veiled

Fitzgerald has told the court he does not intend to introduce evidence showing that Plame's career, the CIA's operations or the national security were harmed by the disclosure of her CIA affiliation.

But he already said it did harm national security, why wouldn't Fitz use that? And why won't the CIA give up the damage assesment? How could national security NOT have been harmed?
Glad to see what Russ Fein is doing-the rest of them best fall in line or we'll start impeachment against them too. Everyplace I go-the hood, downtown and the burbs-everybody's talking about this stuff-and they are all mad at Bush! Finally! p

Anon,

DINO? I love it! Lieberman is definitely a buffoon! The little soldier and the Bush Administration are certainly scared to death of Fitz. All of them are basically running on empty. The Adminstration can classify, de-classify, re-classify etc., but fact remains, that Ms. Wilson was an active covert prior to the leak and what those knuckheads in the Adminstration (because of their revenge on Joe Wilson)have blown the covers of current and past CIA coverts and put National Security in risk in this country. Yes, everywhere I go, on the lips of people, is how to impeach Bush. Bush's name is equivilent to having a wart on your hand!

"I happen to agree with Larry Johnson's interpretation of this: Team Libby was shooting for the Briar Patch for Brer Libby, but instead, they got stuck with a tar baby of their own making -- a poor memory defense and a judge that is willing to refresh that memory at the lowest possible cost to the government doesn't leave them a lot of maneuvering room -- and when you add in a prosecutor who was intelligent enough to understand and prepare for just this tactical maneuver because he's been there, done that, it tightens things up a bit further still. Man, this is fun stuff to read."

Thanks for sharing the article. Team Libby is certainly shooting from the hip with the memory loss syndrome, greymail strategy, and the "I need those documents so that they can jar my memory" strategy etc. I love in the article where the judge would not release the following dates to Team Libby. Libby have documents two days before and two days after. Best of luck to the Little Soldier Team of jarring the wingnut in his brain with the little documents that he has.

S-Q,

I knew about this article last year. Michael Moore has that article from Think Progress on his website last year. I had posted a comment last year on the blog about the 23 names of officials connected to the CIA leak. As you can see, there were lot of more people involved in the CIA leak not just simply leaking Ms. Wilson's covert name. The CIA Leak all involved around profiting from the country of Iraq and Afganistan and other countries in which the Administration had on their list!

There wasn't a date on it and I had never seen it before tonight. Last year, huh? LOL!
It just surprised me that there were so many names involved. I learn something new everyday! :)

Hi everybody I was just thinking about the next President. Doctor Quack Frist will have to work leave from the jail as he will be found guilty of inside trading. If Romny is the next President he'll be like King Solomon. Romny will have 7 hundred wivies & little girls then 3 hundred concubines. He wouldn't have time to run the govenment and keep his wives happy.
Lieberman is a true loyal Republican and if he huges Bush again I'll get sick.

Hello all, Maybe you guys know this. I found this in a media case law book.
Violating Confidences- Former WH staffer Oliver North testified in congressional hearings that leaks of certain intel info "very seriously compromised our intelligence activities," Newsweek, which had published the leaks in question, revealed that North himself had been its confidential source. WP reporter BOB WOODWARD wrote a number of stories about secret US intel operations, attributing his info to "senior admin officials." He later wrote a book in which he revealed that CIA dir Wm Casey had been one of his sources for the WP articles. Woodward believed Casey's death (after the articles-but before the book) ended the obligation of confidentiality. -Langley and Levine, Broken Promises, Colum.J.Rev.,July/Aug 1988, at 21.

I'm praying their demise comes soon, I am sooooo tired of hearing them lie! Woodward is such a butthead! p
