Is the GOP on acid? There is no way in hell that Bush will dump the brain of him. Rove was the mastermind and key of getting Bush re-elected. If Rove was ever fired by Bush, rest assured Rove has so much information on Bush that Bush's legacy would in shambles. The family of Bush would be the biggest scandal in history. And Andrew Card? I had read in either Time or Newsweek that Andrew Card was talking about bailing out from the Adminstration. Card is definitely on his way out. I certainly want Rove indicted and not simply fired by Bush as the GOP wants. Bush would never let that happen. Bush has too much in stake!

Okay I already got clear on everything. I understand.

And this what I said that Bush cannot get rid of Rove:

Kristol: Karl Rove Told Dubai To “Pull The Plug On The Deal”

"According to Weekly Standard editor Bill Kristol, the White House instructed DP World to concede. Appearing yesterday on Fox News, Kristol said Karl Rove canceled the deal with a phone call on the night of March 8:
He made that veto threat then he went on the trip to India and went silent basically. Karl Rove calls the people in Dubai two nights ago and tells them pull the plug on the deal, and I think as a result, the president looks weak, frankly."

And now you know who runs the White House!

SPB,

I think you're right about Bush never giving up Rove...he was not just the mastermind of the re-election he's been guiding Bush for much longer
and probably when Bush said he's married to a man he was thinking of Rove!

Yep, Bush and Rove have a "brokeback" marriage to one another!

Waterflake,

Looks like Libby will not get all the documents that he wanted. just summaries. the little soldier is an idiot. I can see why he had to set up his website. By the time this case is over, Libby will have enough money to shop at Kmart for the bluelight special for 10 dented cans of tuna for $1.00!:

Libby Entitled to Summaries of Briefings, Judge Rules
Cheney's former aide won't get all of the classified documents he seeks in his trial.

March 11, 2006

WASHINGTON — Trying to avoid a prolonged battle over classified documents, a federal judge ruled Friday that I. Lewis "Scooter" Libby is was entitled to summaries of intelligence briefings he received while chief of staff to Vice President Dick Cheney, but rejected his demand for a more extensive array of documents.

Hm intersting news about DP but a bit too simple for my liking. Dubai Ports after the purchase of P&O is the third biggest company handling ports and Rove just tells them to beat it and they jump? The Arabs have their own agenda and if that was a mutual agreement some promises or indemnification where handed out.

In either way it's scary...Rove having so much power....or Rove promising them hell know what....

8:08 PM
Blogger Sandra said...

Thanks for the Libby up-date! He doesn't really need the full documents anyway.
Correct me if I'm wrong but I guess the laywer just wanted to see how far he can push it and if they follow the memory loss strategy the summaries would be sufficient enough?!

Weel, that tell you how incompetent Bush is as a leader. brove is demostrating leadership which people are noticing. Yes, it is a bit scary that Rove has too much power. But then again, a lot of Bush's base has too much power. If Bush doesn't watch out, those circle of friends can turn on it since Bush doesn't have a leg to stand on. He can't go to Papa Bush for his problems after his son ticked off the Saudias on how we are addicted to oil. The Saudias weren't happy about that statement! Where do you think we get our oil from and look how much Saudias own in the U.S. As you can see that Papa Bush has been snuggly up with Bill and Hillary Clinton. That old saying: keep your friends close but keep your enemies closer...

Waterflake,

Libby is just stalling. You know as well as I do that none of those documents will jar his memory because there is no memory loss! His lawyers are bleeding him dry and Libby need the public to help him out! Libby is riding a dead horse in this case. If he had any sense (which he doesn't), he would call Fitz's office and ask for a plea bargain. Other than that, he is waiting his time and money!

Right you are and the speed the Arabs are bying everything up is even more scary. The oil resources will be depleted soon but by then the world will be newly divieded. brrr...bleak... I think I better quit it's 2.30 am over here and I prefer some more gentle thoughts to fall asleep over.

Thanks for all the news
Have a great evening

Get some rest. I didn't realize that it was 2:30 am your time.

Judy Miller? Remember her?

A paradigm shift of journalism vs. blogging:

From Firedoglake:

According to Greg Mitchell:
One interesting exchange occurred when Bill Keller, New York Times executive editor, allegedly told Miller back in 2003 that she would have to quit reporting from Iraq because she had become "radioactive". "You can see it on the blogs." Miller claims she replied, "Why do you give a shit about the blogs? They do not know anything." (Brenner relates that Keller disputes this, saying he’s "pretty sure" he never said any such thing.)

Then she quotes Miller complaining about the lack of editing on the blogs and that sometimes "slanderous" attacks on her appear there. But, actually, she is more "appalled" by her colleagues "who believed what they read on the blogs."

http://firedoglake.blogspot.com/2006_03_05_firedoglake_archive.html#114211854268342092

Is that what the 1st amendment is all about, Judy? She needs a dose of reality.

That was funny. Thanks for send the article. We all need a laugh.

I will leave you all with this quote that was to me of Bush. It is hilarious:

"We now know that in October 2001, Khalid Shaykh Muhammad -- the mastermind of the September the 11th attacks -- had already set in motion a plan to have terrorist operatives hijack an airplane using shoe bombs to breach the cockpit door, and fly the plane into the tallest building on the West Coast. We believe the intended target was Liberty Tower in Los Angeles, California."

The interesting part is that there is no Liberty Tower in Los Angeles. The building that was threatened was the U.S. Bank Tower, formerly known as the Library Tower. Have a wonderful weekend everyone! I am signing off the blog for the night!

A definition of Democracy-one team Bush cannot comprehend. This comes from the U.S. Army War College:

Democracy, as it is commonly understood, is about more than free and fair elections. It requires "independent courts, equality before the law, and constitutional limits on the powers of government. It establishes independent institutions to control and punish corruption and abuse of power." No one in a democracy "may be arrested, imprisoned, or exiled arbitrarily. No one may be denied freedom without a fair and public hearing by an impartial court.”

I love it! p
