Two Minute Warning...

and then halftime.

Dick Cheney And The Dog That Didn’t Bark

Tim Russert: Strange Bedfellow

Libby Live: Tim Russert, Three

"The filletiing of Tim Russert continues into a second hour this morning… the first hour focused on Russert never disclosing his gabby interview with the FBI in November 2003, either to TV viewers or in fighting a grand jury subpoena in 2004. Of special interest to the defense is why the special counsel never declared this interview to be a waiver of Russert's First Amendment claims to confidentiality, nor did they specifically agreed not to use it against Russert."
Fitz says if we admit this, we might as well throw out "Whitmore on Evidence" (a textbook, apparently) and replace it with "Imus on evidence." More Imus snark follows — "throwing a bunch of speculationand TV cable shows in front of the jury," "claiming that someone would be embarrassed because of what was said on a Don Imus show" "there is no Imus exception to the hearsay rules."
Libby Live: Tim Russert, Five
F: Did you read indictment?

T: Yes, I think it was released after the news conference.

F: What did you read?

T: Parts invoving things I was claimed to have said.

F: What did you think of those things.

T: That they weren't true.

F: No further questions. Sweet!

Two medal-winning U.S, sprinters, Tommie Smith and John Carlos, shook up America with a silent black power protest, holding fists in the air while on the winners' stand as the Star Spangled Banner was being played on the stadium loudspeakers.

Smith writes about that night in his life story, "Silent Gesture: The Autobiography of Tommie Smith." He also addresses the tumultuous times the U.S. was going through, and his life before, and since.

Smith explains why he thought it was important to bring the struggles of black Americans to the world stage, and tells of the impact his decision had, and continues to have, on him and his family.

Until like Condi, trying to manipulate a nation for power, greed, narcissism, her h..husband, Chevron and other greedy oil companies, all neocons and their genocide partners in crime.

Heard Russert kept his cool when he was cross examined by Wells.

Hope Cheney is going ballistic!

LOL!

A couple of hours on the Grand Jury tapes with a Fitzgerald summary asking Libby if told reports - listed name by name – that Plame was CIA and Libby responded no to each question.

Russert was on the stand for about three hours, denied that he ( R) had told Libby about Plame. Wells is trying to discredit him, however, Russert is handling himself well, slowly and with confidence.

Tomorrow Wells wants to call Andrea Mitchell, but Fitzgerald has an objection – can’t follow it – and the judge said we have time for one witness tomorrow, bring one in and don’t waste the jury’s time. I doubt if Chaney and Libby will testify.

Lots of press this afternoon, including Ariana Harrington and others whom I cannot identify.

My guess is that Libby will be found guilty and the President will absolve him.

About Andrea Mitchell, borrowed from FDL:

David Ehrenstein says:
February 8th, 2007 at 8:00 am

"Timmeh’s “deep cover” relates not to the CIA but the entire 4th estate. His fealty to “access” over the truth is reason why he, and so many others are doormats.

But far more than Timmeh, Andrea Mitchell embodies the corruptive stink of the entire system. She’s Mrs. Alan Greenspan, folks!"

Wells is really going no where with Don Imus show evidence. You might as well as invite every talk radio show as evidence in court. It is definitely heresay. And Andrea Mitchell is not one on the stand. And this is certainly not a trial of trying to identify whether Andrea Mitchell was accurate or not. Also, it was really uncalled for for Wells to hammer Russert on the wavier of confidentiality. If Eckenrode told Russert to keep the information confidential, then a reporter, Russert, must keep his words. I know where Wells was going with his cross-examination that he was aluding that Russert has an agreement with Fitz. And this is not the case. To have Wells hammer Russert to why didn't he mention the conversation with Eckenrode on T.V is ridiculous. What happen to the word, honestly and integrity? Isn't that why the public rely on journalists today, to be a person of their word?

On a side note: I see no one getting up and arms with Tweety going on Imus show saying the F word and talking trash about the Gerbil.

I believe a certain Fitzmas has stated "I will bring Dick Cheney to his knees."

Oh, yes.

Hi PG!

You asked, what is it going to take to get someone impeached?

In answer to that.. let me say this...

Americans need to stand up as a nation and say, "we've had enough and we aren't going to take any more of this crap!"

That's exactly what happened when Nixon was impeached and the Vietnam war came to an end.

Call and/or email your Congresspeople and Reps and tell them..don't ask them...tell them because they work for you!
I do and frequently! :)

Wells, you're the worst defense attorney I've ever had.

I know it says that this case is about Libby, but really its about me.

Wells, its time to pack up the bags and go home to our country of residence since its obviously not the USA.

Bringing Fitzmas into evidence along with insinuating there is an official blog, was an embarrassment to my whole family.

Our mafia has contracts to keep. You're fired, Wells.

You are hereby fired, indicted, and charged with treason. And let's not forget the dumbass, incompetent, blowup doll puppet President, drunk, draft dodger, and cokehead, George W. Bush. We are taking back our country!
