Political Imagery By Stephen Pitt...

Political Imagination by Meet the Press

"Today on Meet the Press, Politico reporter Roger Simon called the case against Scooter Libby 'a nutty trial that nobody except the people involved in it and the people covering it care about.' Simon said Special Prosecutor Patrick Fitzgerald indicted Libby merely because he 'didn’t tell him the complete truth.'"

SIMON: I also have to say this is a nutty trial that nobody except the people involved in it and the people covering it care about. Once again, we have a prosecutor who can’t get an indictment for the real crime — leaking the identity of a CIA agent. So he goes instead for the crime of, well, people didn’t tell him the complete truth when they talked to him. I mean, there’s no underlying crime here that anyone has been indicted for. This is just a show trial. And I’ve got to say, even if he’s convicted — and he may not be — but even if he is convicted, would any judge send to prison a guy named Scooter? He wouldn’t last 48 hours. <

Good to see Tim unfazed and back to work at General Electric Theater

Larry Johnson breaks it down on Dougie's appearance on Faux Sunday.

Smartest comment:

"Considering the outcome of Iran-Contra, and the persistence of the infection by authoritarians, this time around there should be consequences. At a minimum there must be a definitive record."

Personally I think, there are 82 year olds that still should be marched off to the slammer instead of coping a feel on the butts of TV stars.

Great picture of Timmy.
I saw Timmy's show and Simon was so funny. Now it's legal to lie under oath, I bet the guys in jail will be glad they will all be released as the new Bush policy is lyings ok. I only wish when I was a kid it was ok. Now America can add something new to teach our kids that lying even under oath is ok.
I'm really confused about what all the talk about Senator Obama not being black enough. Are we Americans that dumb or is it just the Republicans. Powell was asked to run for President as a black man no mention of not being black enought. We have an incompetent drunken liar and thief as President yet all this talk about a President has to have experience. Why weren't we looking for a President with experience in 2000 or 2004 why now?
Oh and if I were a ruler of a country I would be preparing to protect my country from an invasion by a crazed idiot name George W. Bush. Putin was right. If any leader isn't protecting themselves Bush is crazy enough to attack at will. Now once a liar always a liar. Notice none of the world leaders have joined in to help with the mess that Bush created. Blair's on his way out and then the UK will be gone. Oh Blair is comeing to the US for the job he was promised by yes Bush team. Tony's son is now in the US working for the money daddy was promised to follow the Liar-in-Chief. Our soldiers are sitting ducks being killed as our leaders talk and spin and wait. How many soldiers have to die before we say it's enough. Maliki is worthless and the Iraq people know it. Al Sadr is going to push himself in as leader. All the world leaders sell their weapons to each other even the US. Notice the inspectors only found US weapons while looking for WMDs. Isreal used US weapons during their attack yet no one said the US was part of the war. After the Powell lie to the United Nations who can trust a word the United States President says. Even the Libby trial showed the Bush Administration lied to the UN, American people and others to invade Iraq. We need an honest turthful President right away does anyone know one? Get the impeachment started ASAP for both Bush/Cheney.

Maybe Victor or JG is available to do the deed.

This twit Simon is a fool. I bet every family in America has one or two in it that are very informed, (although one learns not to talk about being informed too much, hence the eye-rolling begins) but make no mistake-- when the MSM gets caught up in their lies or BushCo. pulls another one of their lies (none of them believe them)...they do ask the informed one more and more lately. It is wonderful to see the light bulbs going off and the heads nodding.

Mr. Simon and his ilk should also know that the youth in this country see through, discuss and are very informed now. I always smile when so and so's son that voted for Bush now talks about horrible he is for this country. AND none of them bad-mouth Patrick Fitzgerald.

Prissy, I agree. Dennis gets no respect. The man tells the truth.

Stephen Pitt:

You are incredible!!! You hit the nerve so hard on your "compassionate conservative" cartoon, that it was difficult to look at. My God, what those two creeps spawned and thrust on the world.

Then consider the difference between JFK and JFK Jr. and the scene we are in right now. It breaks the heart. O'l HWB and W need to be in jail.

I found it to be the second most difficult image I've done and don't like to dwell there much lyrically.

That the government and some media are trying to sell torture as morally justified brings my focus to the messengers, like the producers and sponsors of 24 and the ideologically unbalanced screamers of FOX. I can smell the mink-oiled jackboots.

And shame on the AEI for hosting and spawning totalitarianism in all it's blazing glory inside the host, our country and Republic.

We all stand in the blast of it and sometimes it really hurts. You know, to know it is being committed in our name.

Thank you for your kind thoughts. And thanks, whoever you are, speaking and acting for us, the People, today, tonight, and always.
