Hey Fitz!
V for Vendetta was excellent! I liked it because it was so different! :)

The crumbling infrastructure of the United States. "If a terrorist group were able to knock the NSA offline, or disrupt one of the nation's busiest airports, or shut down the most important oil pipeline in the nation, the impact would be perceived as devastating," Beckner said. "And yet we've essentially let these things happen — or almost happen — to ourselves." Estimates are that 1.6 trillion dollars over 5 years is needed to repair and upgrade our basic infrastructures.
$310,090,000,000 and counting, is how much the "war" in Iraq has cost us so far.
Our government is not serving us, for sure.
State of emergency declared in Florida
By JESSICA GRESKO, Associated Press Writer
4 minutes ago
TAVERNIER, Fla. - Visitors were ordered to leave the Florida Keys on Sunday and Gov. Jeb Bush issued a state of emergency because of the possibility that Hurricane Ernesto could threaten the state.
Bush's order came after the Monroe County Emergency Management office told tourists to postpone any immediate plans to travel to the Keys and ordered those already in the island chain to leave.

GUNS, HATE AND VIOLENT FANTASIES IN THE LAROUCHE MOVEMENT:
AN INFILTRATOR SPEAKS OUT
http://justiceforjeremiah
.com/html/levy_m.html
If it walks like Roger, talks like Roger it's...
"Throughout my association with Security, its members (even those who were of Jewish
descent) repeatedly expressed an intense hatred and anger towards Zionist Jews and the
State of Israel. They especially hated what they called "rich Jews" and told me that such
people would have to ***go into camps when Lyn came to power***. They talked this way to
me because they believed they were winning me to their cult’s way of thinking."
"Those who then begin working with LaRouche will immediately see very little sleep, physical exhaustion (LaRouchies work seven days, 90-100 hours a week), a large number of classes (in the beginning indoctrination), strong encouragement to break ties with family and friends, mental fatigue, fellow organizers reporting to the leadership any deviations in thought, a groupthink atmosphere, vicious attacks from the leadership, group confessions, and "struggle meetings."
"For thirty years, LaRouche has been a parasitical entity, soliciting millions of dollars per year, marching young wives of members to abortion clinics, and doing irreparable psychological damage to hundreds of his organizers. One former organizer used to show up and stand in front of the office talking to him. The ones who stay are completely unable to think for themselves, and are so paranoid that anyone they meet who opposes LaRouche is an “agent” or a fascist. Anyone who has been there for more than a few years generally feels completely unable to live in the ”outside world,” and the organization has instilled a sense of superiority in them that living among the “population” would be wasting their lives anyway. They have committed themselves to making LaRouche president, never mind the Supreme Court ruling that stated he was disqualified from candidacy because he is a convicted felon (fraud, tax evasion), and candidates must be registered to vote."

Roger did you get that part?
"The ones who stay are completely unable to think for themselves, and are so paranoid that anyone they meet who opposes LaRouche is an agent or a fascist."
Fitz you'll have to tell me about the movie I'll never see it. Once Peaches gave me the movie Hannibal and it's still in the rapper. Yes I'm scared of horror movie's the last one I saw as the Exorcist and I really didn't know it was that bad. My husband worked nights so I slept with my daughter just in case the devil came after me he would have to take her too. So that was it never again and I never have seen another horror movie.
Good evening, all.
See Waterflakes's post (next to last entry on previous thread) about the Texas National Guard recalling Bush for active duty! LOL
jackie:
V for Vendetta is NOT a horror movie in the traditional sense! The only way I could see it being 'scary' is if a person draws connections to the movie's government/nation to their actual government/nation in real life... and even then the only fear you will probably feel will be when you make the connections, see the coincidences, and ask yourself the question:
Do I really want to know?
Roger outs himself again on the previous thread.
He's a Larouchie to the core, a group that brainwashes college kids to drop out and just like Scientology notorious for mind control/torture techniques and removing the members from family and society.
All money and possessions belong to Larouche after indoctrination just like the Moonies to give their fearless leader the Presidency of the USA. All the politic actionism is a facade to to gain trust, power and money.
"Same card AIPAC played on C-SPAN. Lyndon Larouche is Hitler to them. Watch the neocons fall and watch them dive!"
"I no longer have to waste time on these jokers, they proved their morals by outing themselves here."
Goodbye Roger and good riddance.
Hello everyone!
The topic of discussion is Armitage!!! Well, the bottom line is that the Gerbil and company are using Armitage as a downfall for the leak case.. They are pointing the finger to Armitage as the mastermind when we know that is not true.. The Ambien and henchmen knew what type of person Armitage is: a chatter box.. You get him to casually mention and slip about Plame's name like a rumor and bingo, Plame's name spreads all over to the reporters. Again, the media and a new book are still asleep at the wheel. They think that the public is dumb.
If Armitage was the main orchestrator in leaking Plame's identity and discrediting Wilson, certainly questions come to my mind:
1. Why did Armitage talk to Fitz? And why is Armitage not charged?
2. Why wasn't Armitage in the meeting with Cheney, Rove, Libby, and Hadley on March 2003 if Armitage is the mastermind?
3. Why did the FBI investigators tell Ashcroft that Rove and Libby gave inconsistent answers and they could be involved in the leak case?
4. And why did Armitage warned reporter Bob Woodward at least 3 times to go to prosecutor?
I think that media and the authors of this new book are really diverted people's minds to focus on Armitage. And he certainly wasn't the main orchestrator.. Each major players involved in the discrediting of Wilson are trying to cover their hind parts.. And since the wilsons are suing, it is simple for the three knucklehead to divert the focus on Armitage.. And I don't think that Armitage will take the downfall for those three nimrods...
V for Vendetta? Haven't seening the movie but will rent it over the Labor Day weekend...
Jackie,
V for Vendetta is not a horror movie. But, it is art imitating life. The movie is a very frightening picture of a totalitarian society and the control of government and suppression of society.. It is a 21th century of this country under the Gerbil and company government. But, it is a dose of reality to where this country is heading if we don't get out a vote in November, take back this country, and the remove the Gerbil.
"Judge" Jonathan Kaplan says Chris Kennedy can't have his kids because Irish people fight.
See my website.

It looks like someone is using the one-armed bandit again--Armitage is not even in the index of Wilson's "The Politics of Truth." I am only on page 15, so I do not yet know what is in the rest of it. I have the 2005 edition with the updates.

SPB:
I saw it when it came out at the theater and I am going to buy the DVD. It is one of those movies that I think I could watch over and over and see something that I missed! :)
Well, I saw the movie "1984" based on the book by George Orwell many years ago. I thought back then that what was dispicted in the movie and the book (which I read) would never happen in this country.. Another movie (which I never seen and I think that movie may be in libraries) is Animal Farm which is a political satire (which i read the book).. And some of the underlining themes in that political satire does fit in many aspects in this country.. It is a shame that art is imitating life...
SPB:
I read the book, "1984" but didn't see the movie. Have you ever seen these very weird movies, "Clockwork Orange" or "Soylent Green" ??
I read Clockwork Orange but never seen the movie... My English teacher back then use to tell me to read a book before going to see a movie based on the book. I didn't read the other book you mention...
"Armitage is not even in the index of Wilson's "The Politics of Truth."
Well that is certainly a hint on how much Armitage's role in the leak case.. If Armitage is not even mention in Wilson' book in the index, that tell you the news is just another spin, twist, and turns to divert the American people's attention on Armitage.. you know the American people are not gerbils and that are blindly going to get sucked in.. Too much information has come out with involvement of the smurf, porkrind, Ambien, and the Gerbil. And the leaker-in-chief was stupid enough to tell the public that he was the one who leaked classified information.. So, this new spin about Armitage just won't fly.. Interesting that the book is being released one month before the November elections...
Wilson's book mentions Powell several times for the UN speech and once on p. xl:
"Other prominent Bush administration officals, including the-Secretary of State Colin Powell, former National Security Adviser Condoleezza Rice, NSC staffer and veteran COP infighter Elliot Abrams, and former White House Counsel Gonzales, have testifed before the grand jury or spoken with Fitzgerald."
Noe-Nazi idiots showed up in Madison, Wisc. and it made the international news so yet again, Americans are looking stupid abroad again. Madison is my home away from home--someone needs to take out the trash. At least the protestors and police outnumbered the idiots about 18 to 1.
I especially like the last line:
Wrong time. Wrong place. Halloween is in October.
Good Evening All,
"There's a recent study about human behavior and apparently, women are capable of making decisions about the character of men within a tenth of a second. Decisions often made without any rational thought. Yep and that's why we're in Iraq." --David Letterman
I don't watch but Granny says he gives Bush a hard time about the war almost every night. Go Dave!
Crumbling infrastructure you aren't kidding-I had a meeting at a Cleve area union hall-me and GF got lost and ended up in what looked like a bombed out war zone. It was so bad we just looked at each other-buildings half torn down and left-sidewalks unrepaired and blocked off. We were told by the union people it had been like that for years. Cleve has a 30% poverty rate.
Good Evening Everyone:
I was sure that PJF had referred to Richard Armitage as a "good egg"!
This from BuzzFlash -
http://libbydefensefund.com/news/06/0827.htm
"Libby Defense Fund: Beware of the Armitage Red Herring"
From the article:
"Whether Armitage was the "first" to tell Bob Novak about Valerie Plame is an interesting piece of the puzzle, but it doesn't in anyway change the fact that the White House, with the knowledge of Bush and Cheney, sought to expose a CIA operative and endanger the national security of the United States as a result. Indeed, as Cheney does Round II of assembling Weapons of Mass Destruction data in order to justify another war, it should be recalled that Valerie Plame was a specialist in tracking Weapons of Mass Destruction. There has, indeed, been speculation that she knew a good deal about WMDs and Iran."
...and this:
"The forthcoming book, "Hubris," by David Corn and Michael Isikoff, may be a good read. But the Newsweek excerpt this coming week and Corn's own account of the Armitage leak may mislead people into thinking that somehow the White House wasn't behind the whole thing."
This is a short piece, worth reading. I like the header for the Scooter Libby Defense Fund at the top of the page. It reads "Defending America from Scooter Libby."
"There's a recent study about human behavior and apparently, women are capable of making decisions about the character of men within a tenth of a second.
Decisions often made without any rational thought. Yep and that's why we're in Iraq." --David Letterman

If you liked V for Vendetta you should see "Land of the Blind", with Ralph Fiennes and Donald Sutherland...
It's one of the best Political Satire I've ever seen.
Amazon Plot Synopsis: A political drama about terrorism, revolution, and the power of memory.
In an unnamed place and time, an idealistic soldier named Joe strikes up an illicit friendship with a political prisoner named Thorne, who eventually recruits him into a bloody coup d'etat.
But in the post-revolutionary world, what Thorne asks of Joe leads the two men into bitter conflict, spiraling downward into madness until Joe's co-conspirators conclude that they must erase him from history.
Two quotes from the movie:
Joe "Before the Revolution man exploited man; now it's the other way around."
Thorne: "We blow up a car, that's called terrorism. You drop bombs from 30.000 feet that's National Defence"
The movie is set in a time and place nonexistent but one will find characters, places and events that are related to today's events which makes the film so intriguing.
Of course the audience must make those connections; if I'm not familiar with Mao won't see the insinuation to Thorn.
Or for the Non-American audience that isn't familiar with the GOP symbol it will be hard to relate to the Elephant but even so maybe Edwards was just making a reference to a good memory... who knows...
The DVD is out already but the movie is probably not going to hit the big screens. Here's the trailer from Youtube:

ARMITAGE 'OUTED' PLAME (?)
http://www.rawstory.com/news/2006/State_Department_has_reportedly_known_for_0826.html
Gallup: Just 22% view Rove favorably
Presidential adviser Karl Rove's net favorable rating among Americans is at -16, according to the latest Gallup poll.
The poll finds that just 22% of Americans hold a favorable opinion of Rove, while 38% see him unfavorably.
At 38%, Rove's unfavorable rating is seen at the low end of its range. The smallest percentage found in the last year to view the Republican political mastermind unfavorably has been 34%; the highest has been 50%. During the height of the Plame affair, Rove's net favorable rating was seen to hit -38%.
Rove's favorable rating, on the other hand, has changed little over the last year, ranging only from 22-25%.
A large percentage of Americans have also consistently stated that they either don't know who Rove is, or didn't know enough about him to form an opinion.
