MSNBC's Shuster = Rocket Scientist...

"Last night, MSNBC’s David Shuster took a look at recent court filings by special prosecutor Patrick Fitzgerald and suggests that Karl Rove is likely to be indicted." [more]

David, NASA is holding on line two.

All these guys trying to figure out what the little angel is thinking or planning. To think that Fitz is all they can think about is somewhat strange. I'm just following the info as it comes out in the news and I understand it. Maybe Shuster's trying to look important so he can get a job at the White House or Fox news. I hate to think someone is that dumb not to know that Rove is guilty of no less then lying to investigator/grand jury. Scientist no what to something yes.

I was reading the comments and someone pointed out that Gov George Ryan was once Official A.
So I guess we can look forward to an indictment any time now!

Thanks for bringing that up. For those that don't know what target letter is. A "target letter" is what the prosecutor provides to a witness who has been subpoenaed to testify before the grand jury. It is an advisement of rights, particularly the right to counsel and the right to not testify. Now, once the investigation is complete and the grand jury has heard all the evidence and is about to return indictments, target letters are no longer used. Basically, in plain english, it implies: you are likely going to be indicted, and you better act on it promptly.

From the U.A. Attonry Manual for those who are analytical on this blog:

"9-11.151 Advice of "Rights" of Grand Jury Witnesses
It is the policy of the Department of Justice to advise a grand jury witness of his or her rights if such witness is a "target" or "subject" of a grand jury investigation. See the Criminal Resource Manual at 160 for a sample target letter.
A "target" is a person as to whom the prosecutor or the grand jury has substantial evidence linking him or her to the commission of a crime and who, in the judgment of the prosecutor, is a putative defendant....
A "subject" of an investigation is a person whose conduct is within the scope of the grand jury's investigation."

There you go! happy reading. Thanks for bring that up, Grandmanuk!

Here is advice from Brownie to Rummy!:

"Former FEMA director Michael Brown has some advice for Donald Rumsfeld. 'I think I should call the secretary and say watch your back, because you never know... here today, gone tomorrow." Here a non-qualified FEMA director gives advice to DOD geezer who never been in the military from the get go and who needs to be in a nursing home!

Fitz,

I just saw your other photo that you just posted" "say no to graft." I have to chuckle for a moment. It looks like a paid advertisement on TV. Point well taken! Your face and that slogan ought to be on every criminal or potential criminal's computer when they first log in! But, all joke's aside, it is up to the individual to heed to your words of wisdom or choose that path of graft!

We are hearing that Fitz would not get out of bed this morning when he heard that his dear friend Harriet might be fired!

Rosemary, can you confirm this before we go to press or mail us a cashiers check?

I'd like to see Rumsfeld get "it" but he may have surrogatized and not culpable. All top tier neocons need adjustment or a trip to Brazil.

Good weekend to all,

So, Fitz is devastated bacause the news that his bad lady friend, Harriet, may be giving the golden boot. Make sure Fitz give his buddy, Harriet, a makeup kit and a free makeup at a salon! That is at least he can do for his buddy! The woman looks bad!

Stephen:

Great picture of Rummy. Yeah, two faces of Rummy without a brain in either one of them!

Harriet will be lucky to get out before it all hits the fan
as for Harriet's makup..she can give Kathrine pointers..its better to lean toward being natural(my son is a makeup artist and works with famous people)as Harriet does than to overdo like Katherine..
SPB perhaps what you see in Harriet's face is the strain of tip toeing through and around the Texas cow pies in the Oval to keep her integraty...

And the sad thing about Harriet, e, is that the Bush tried to defend her on why she should been the Supreme Court justice judge. Now, he screws her over. That tell you what type of world that is in the Gerbil Administration. If you are useful, you stay. If you are indispensible no matter how much you kiss ass, you're gone!

SORRY but Her name is a sore spot now to Bush and the new man is removing them.

Does make her attempted appointment to the S C look even more dubious IF Bolton made those comments about her.

Aparently his views and Bush's differ sharply.

Anon,

Harriet like McFelon and possibly John Snow are indispensible! To the Gerbil Administration if you fit into their blueprint of strategy, then you stay. And Bolten is allowed to make such comments about Harriet because Bush gave Bolten full authority to oversea the reorganization in the WH.
