I was listening to Washington Journal this morning, and several Republican callers to guest Democratic Rep Loretta Chavez of Calif denounced Democrats for not speaking up about the ports deal until the Dubai thing went sour.
Will they stop at nothing? The Dems are not in power, they cannot get a bill or resolution through unless the committee chair agrees. Reporters won't cover their concerns unless they consider it news, and the American people simply weren't focused on it until then.
I had heard on numerous occasions that our ports were not up to the new security requirements. Where were these callers? Oh yes, pretending that the Bush Administration actually gave a damn.
hmmm, ok, help me with the nuances..

however, potentially some of this is "criminal" ... "high crimes and misdemeanors", no?
does this mean a "get out of jail free" card for each and every one of those snarky criminals?
Get out and vote everyone come November if you don't want the crooks to get back in office! I hope in November that all the roaches that are called the corrupted politicans are exterminated!

US to test 700-tonne explosive
The US military plans to detonate a 700 tonne explosive charge in a test called "Divine Strake" that will send a mushroom cloud over Las Vegas, a senior defense official said.
"I don't want to sound glib here but it is the first time in Nevada that you'll see a mushroom cloud over Las Vegas since we stopped testing nuclear weapons," said James Tegnelia, head of the Defense Threat Reduction Agency.
